    Brilliant! The fingers off delay tip is a great one. Just a few ms makes all the difference. PS Love the side glance to the camera after catching. Slick!

    You explain what my subconscious has picked up on by virtue of hours of playing, but failed to work out exactly *why* and when it works with right angles and near the tip of the flippers.
    Love your channels Abe

    I accidentally pulled this off for the first time yesterday while playing an Iron Maiden machine and I thought I had broken physics.

    Yes, best to practice with orbit shots that feed a flipper near tip! Time the flip so that ball arrives at flipper at the exact same time flipper reaches end of stroke.

    I'm really liking your tutorials but one issue I'm running into is you make this stuff look so easy. I realize I need to practice though. One question I had which can go with most of your tutorials - do the rubbers make a noticeable difference? I am on my first pin ever and it's a JP Pro with stock rubbers. Would changing them out to Titans make a difference as far as some of these moves/skills go and just how the ball bounces around the playfield?

    • @AbeFlips
      @AbeFlips  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, flipper rubbers are affecting certain techniques. Especially drop catches, dead bounces and live catches. I use titans for most of my games. However, Stern stock rubbers are not that bad and as you are quite new to pinball, you might not feel too much of a difference.
      I would not change the rubbers on the posts and sling shots, especially the post sleeves. They are less bouncy and you have more time to react from a rebound off of them. cheers

    Awesome video series! I just started playing flipper a few months ago so this is great learning about all the things I see the pro's do! :D BTW, I wanted to let you know that there is something strange with your twitch link, I didn't find your twitch when I clicked it but when I searched your name it worked so maybe check that out! Keep up the good work!

    danke, mein deutscher freund, what rubbers you use on the flippers.. available in europe?

    • @AbeFlips
      @AbeFlips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there :-) For home games I recommend Titan competition rubbers. Nearly plays like original Stern rubbers but in all colors. Problem so far, noone is offering them in europe anymore, maybe PU-Parts will have them available soon. I can't really recommend other brands like perfect play or superband - not a fan of how they feel.
