You have so much to discover with the uk scene , no mumbling allowed over here just lyricism, you have literally 30 years of quality lyrical rap to discover from over here , from chester p to Dave we have some serious spitters over here and it is slept on badly by the usa scene
She was offered a deal in the US to do a diss track on Nikki but she refused and stayed independent. Nikki then brought her out on stage during her UK tour 🔥
I absolutely love your reactions. So glad you have landed on Lady Leshurr. That woman deserves so much respect. She has a great catalogue... The further back you go.. the faster she spits... I don't even know what to suggest to you all I know is I'm along for this ride!! Personal faves are shurraq, panda freestyle, look at me now, RIP, DIV, queens speech's... Lord have mercy I could go on and on...
I haven't listened to Lady Leshur for a few years so hadn't heard this song, but this is fire! She's not only one of the best female rappers around, but one of the best rappers in the UK full stop. My favourite track of hers was her diss track to Paigey Cakey called R.I.P. - absolutely brutal. Black Panther is one of her more popular tracks but to be frank you could pick anything. She's a proper bar artist!
I like her energy! She’s definitely dope! Best female rapper I’ve heard in awhile & I’m not even into any of these UK rappers but definitely subbed to her
Not just a female rapper but a good rapper overall that can easily wipe the floor with some of the men. Of course there biases towards female rappers and therefore they have to go extra hard to prove themselves worthy. I’m sure she considers herself not just a female rapper but a rapper that can hold her own when push comes to shove.
Listening to the Roseanne collaboration on my way to the grocery store, that video led me here. And here I sit in the parking lot for 25 minutes lol. My first thought on the Roxanne bar was UTFO Roxanne Roxanne, but I think you are correct, for sure that was the police Roxanne
Yo, BAR for BAR better than 5 of this days top US rappers. Cadence, Flow, Rhyme scheme, wordplay etc. And is in full command of Presentation. Hands down Hands stand 🙌🏾
Have you noticed no cursing ( cursing has its place ) or N-word this and B-that. She proves that even the whole family can listen to her music without worrying about explicit lyrics. You should definitely checkout her other music repertoire such her Queen speeches series, which I think either go from 1-7 or 1-8. Someone can correct me here. Furthermore, she adds humour to her lyrics unless she’s going in on her opponents. This a good genuine reaction and appreciation to an artist that you’re not too familiar with, love ❤️ it. Thanks
Been a fan of hers for years! That's how u popped up in my algorithm. Lol u should check her out on one of my faves of hers... Hours by Sons of Kick. Her flow matching the pace of the beat is MAD crazy!!!
For those like you who appreciate quality hip hop then the uk rabbit hole is full of nuggets (to mix a metaphor) It’s funny that you’re coming here from Ren and Pete and Bas. No denying their respective talents but they wouldn’t have arrived at the point they have without the healthy uk scene that preceded them. Recommend digging into the Fire In The Booths. So many goatted performances. Start with K Koke, Mic Righteous, Lowkey, Akala, Ghetts, Wretch 32, Kano. There’s so many more though.
@@TheLVME woah yeah, I've you've not dived into the Fire in the Booth rabbit hole then that's a whole load of treasure for you to unpack. The DJ (Charlie Sloth) can be a bit intense but he pretty much propped up the underground hip-hop scene in the UK and brought it to the mainstream so he deserves his dues. Ones I think you'd appreciate would be Akala pt4, Wretch32 and Avalino and Lowkey pt 2. There's loads of bar heavy stuff out there but I think those 3 stand out for me. I'm sure others will recommend more. It really is a goldmine of lyrical rap
@@TheLVMEnot sure what the best US equivalent. Maybe the guest slots on Sway? Basic concept is getting the best rappers in the studio showing off their skills. Over the years it’s got competitive with each of the greatest all trying to outdo each other. Between FITB and Daily Duppy (probably get the more recent artists on DD) you’ll get a good appreciation of what else we have to offer. If you fancy a speed run through a bunch of uk artists all in one place the FITB Cypher 2014 is an excellent place to start. Bit long but you can break it down into smaller sections.
@@TheLVMERen has recorded his Fire in the Booth and it'll come out in the next couple of weeks so now is a great time to dig into a few in preparation! Akala's is a favourite.
Very cool break-down, here for it! Enjoyed it! She only puts sick bars with smooth flow on beat. She has clothes on, no sex or vulgar language. 🔥 Thanks. 🫡
Liked and subscribed. I've been a fan of hers for a while - was turned on to her by a fellow Arsenal FC fan. I'm old and had a hard time relating to hip hop until I heard her. I enjoyed your reaction so much because it helped me fill in a lot of blanks I was missing, in terms of the history. Thanks so much. Check out her Unleshed - Panda Freestyle. I think this one is the best she's done since that one!
LL has another track, just before this one called ' Bite My Style ' You will 100% know the backing track on this one. I know you u will love this one...TRUST ME! 🙂
Absolutely. Roxanne Shante. There was a series of diss tracks that many consider the first, sometimes called the Roxanne Wars, between U.T.F.O. and her starting way back in 1983 or 84.
This should have more views. People be sleeping on Leesh for too long 😢 shes one of the best out there but i think people struggle with her Brum accent.
You missed Roxanne the rapper in your great analysis it wasn't just The Police and Roxanne. And you didn't notice the security guard coming trying to stop her performing right when she was spitting the lyric about 'I do what I want to.' I appreciate your appreciation of her skills.
I'll add to the calls for you to check out Little Simz - the longer you leave it, the more you'll curse yourself for not having done it sooner. "Venom" and "Gorilla" are good starting points.
Leesh is great! She's pretty unique and has lots of personality. EDIT: noticed you don't have any Snow Tha Product reactions on your channel. She's another female that can rap rap. She's American, but leans heavily into her Mexican upbringing and heritage. Some of her tracks are in English, some are in Spanish, and some are in both. She's pretty good though. She restored my faith in rap when I came back to it and all I was hearing was auto-tune bullshit. Almost gave up on the genre until I found her and it luckily led me into others like Rittz and even Aitch and our Lady Lesha
Roxanne is about a man who falls in love with a prostitute, so literally f the police feeling like Roxanne. Makes it a triple, so good. Hope you dig in to her dis tracks D.I.V and R.I.P
LL is a veteran in the game. One of the best. Got set up by her ex and did some time. A complex but very genuine character.
I'm stoked to have discovered her. This was one of the most impressive songs I've heard in a while 🔥

@@TheLVMEcould you see a Collab with Ren?????? I can almost hear it in my head!! Her pen, rhythm, flow…. Thoughts???? That could be FIRE!!!!
Fumes the engineer did a ladies night that was fire.😮
Lady Leshurr, Little Simz, Teezandos, Cristale... All uk female MCs who really shine in their own ways.

Oh that's dope!
LL is one of the UK Queens.... she actually got barred for life from the Mall in Birmingham, UK after this video 😂
that's so pathetic of them haha literally harmless fun, probably did them a favour in free advertising
Oh that's hilarious. Love it.

She moves like Dax in his 1 takes on the dirt roads. Her rap is on point but I really dig her performance.

ABSOLUTELY. I can completely agree to that after only hearing this one song. 💯👊
Changes is one of my favorite 2 Pac tracks and she references that song going into mentioning 2 Pac there in the beginning.
yoo that was dope!!
💯👊
Oh deadly, I didn't know she was back.
Leshurr is quality 👌
I love Lady Leshurr. Her diss tracks RIP and DIV are amazing. ❤❤❤ but check out her new tracks too - Not Guilty and Bite my style.
I will definitely check those out, Thank you

Wasnt there a rapper named Roxanne back in the 80s or early 90s?? That was a triple

Your right rhythm and rhyme is important to hip hop in fact it's integral. R.a.p is actually an acronym it stands for (R)hythm (A)nd (P)oetry
