That's almost a baby Frogman....it's always nice to see how that watch is able to beat a much more expensive watches. And that's because this is a function over form, and i like it very much. I'm a bit old school and for me a watch is still a measuring tool, not a fancy bracelet. This thing is legible, usable, affordable and tough. What else anybody can need from a watch? I mean, from a watch that it's made for a particular purpose? I love G squares because i got a smaller wrist, but this thing is unbelieveable. Good video Simucom

I have a question. I bought the 9052 GBX about a month ago and I noticed that the backlight is dimmer than my other G Shocks. I don't know if the battery is weak or if the different color background causes this. If anyone can compare their regular background backlight beside the GBX. Thanks for the review. The 9052 is my favorite.
I love my DW9052 but I'm struggling with the band. The variant I have is the nylon/cloth strap and it's a tad too tight. Any suggestions on a longer band, hopefully a Casio replacement, that has about another inch or so to play with? Thanks and great review on this tough little watch!
Not that I know of. I know there are lug adaptors for certain G's that allow for aftermarket NATO straps. You just need to make sure they will fit on the 9052.

Visibility is great, no issues there. Overall toughness is going to be the same across the board when comparing it to other basic G Shocks, although I will have to say that the 9000 definitely takes the win.
I have both the DW9052-1V and DW-9052-1CCG. They are lovely and embody the essence of the G-shock line. Unfortunately, some have described these 9052 watches as being ugly. Frankly, I tend to agree, but I love this line even more for it. In my estimation, these are like the English bulldogs of the G-shock world.
If these watches are considered ugly then I guess I love ugly watches lol. To me they're as classic as you can get with 90's G-Shock style, which I also consider to be the height of when G-Shocks looked the best.
Normally fakes have misspelled words and logos on the watch face (for example: "G-Shok" instead of G-Shock), and the model/module numbers will be wrong on the caseback. Overall fit and finish will be poor. You can immediately tell the difference between a cheap fake vs. a quality factory made Casio. The pushers on a fake may feel flimsier and you may notice condensation inside the display after light water exposure. Best thing to do is buy from a reputable retailer with a solid return policy

I believe it's in "Alarm" mode. that's usually where you can mute the hourly chime and button beep.
