The Pikachu edition doesn't have red buttons. It has brown buttons. The red buttons are on fake reshelled ones. The torchic also has a torchic outline on the front like the rest
My bad. There isnt much in the way of photos out there for these old systems so I had to do a lot of piecing together for this video. LUCKILY... 1. Brown vs red buttons on the pikachu edition doesnt change my opinion on it at all. 2. From all the images I can find for the Torchic edition, the outline looks so small and so faint to the point im not surprised I didnt notice it when putting this video together. It's staying in the ugly.
@@Woz99yt I guess furthering the information on the Pikachu SP, authentic NA ones have brown buttons, the japanese edition has black IIRC. Either way, very clean console. I just can't get behind the Tribal SP 💀
I dont know if you noticed,.. but on the super mario edition, the rubber cussions around the display are white and I belive its supposed to resemble the red white dot mushrooms..... really enjoyed this video... you've earned a sub from me for sure.... P.S I remeber being given the Minish cap gold SP on my birthday. Was my favorite console in my late childhood.... lost count of how many hours I played of pokemon emerald on that thing
It would have been awesome if Nintendo had installed the brighter backlit screens into all of GBA SP models (Both regular and special editions) in the first place instead of waiting till 2005 in order to create and launch their backlit GBA SPs. Plus, it is too bad that Japan never got any backlit GBA SPs. All Japan sold were the frontlit GBA SP models. Also, it would have been awesome if the backlit GBA SPs were sold worldwide instead of being exclusive to North America and Europe.
Nice! The GBA SP is my all time favorite handheld as well! I have 5 different models, including the NES, Zelda and Tribal ones. They're my babies! I've always wanted to mod an AGS-101 backlit screen into them, just haven't gotten around to it. Hopefully one day!
I have a golden Majora's Mask SP, but if it isn't included here, i think it might be custom. I also have a Pokeball edition that actually is custom, but I realised that too late ^^' It cannot connect with other devices sadly, I wanted to trade stuff to the Gamecube with it. Anyway, cool video. Straight to the point. You could do a lot more of these if you liked making it, there are gameboy colors, game&watch series, n64 and gamecube stuff, but hey maybe outside of Nintendo there are a lot of Tamagotchi devices or Digimon ones. Heck even Playboy made a phone once and Ferrari a computer. Very cool niche stuff for the world to behold.
Still got my Tribal Edition (as it's nicknamed here is Sweden) and it still works perfectly. :). I believe the spongebob edition was an AGS-101 (as indicated on the box) wich makes it better than many others. I've seen a snes-edition, but maybe that's just a reshell thing? Do you know anything about it? Also, like someone else said, you could make videos on the other handhelds as well. I still got my Play It Loud GameBoy so I would love a video on those. :) Great vudeo though! Definitely made me consider starting to collect these. :) /Robert

@@Woz99yt a great video, owning way too many SPs I figured I might as well chime in on those haha

The symbol on the Naruto one is the symbol of the Ninja "Hidden Leaf" Village (Konohagakure No Sato), from which Naruto originates
Hmmmm im not convinced. Tentacle with pimple makes more sense

I clicked this because I was offended that the thumbnail implied that my gba sp was bad
Expectations subverted?
This is not untrue ahahah
Lol at the naruto

Wheres the “Who Are You ?” Addition?
the tribal sp is probably my favourite tbh
It is a certified banger
You are missing the red/black castlevania edition
Can you link a photo of it? Can't find it anywhere
You forgot the green and orange one
There's no way u put the pokemon emerald in ugly. Like wtf
It had to be done
The SpongeBob gba sp doesn’t have yellow buttons they are green
I still have the Mario one ❤️
So jealous
i'd say adding a mid tier would make sense
True but I live the series title so much lol. Maybe next time Ill put in a 'god tier' for the best ones
@@Woz99yt it is catchy and the thumbnail design also really catches the eye
The first thing that got me into gaming was a PlayStation 2 put, I like the Game Boy Advance SP fawn memories. The first one i got was a red one.
I reckon the DK is clean af but Pikachu and SpongeBob are ugly 😂
I dont hate the Charizard Venusaur ones either lol
I was really close to putting DK in the good tbh
Spongebob 1 is ugly you need glasses
