Classic BL! All the tropes, all the emotions and all the LOVE😍😍.
You don’t need xrated scenes to make a romance series, just great script script, delivered by great actors and a great director who knows what BL is all about.
My heart was so full at the end and I’ll be rewatching and recommending for a long time to come 💕

it doesn't always have to be the spectacular series. To my Star 2 or this series, both take their time and much happens inside the protagonists, which they express so well through body language and facial expressions. no annoying subplots, but concentrate on the essentials.

best japanese bl so far. Very good storyline, amazing acting skills, no cringe scenes and the chemistry is just beyond this world. the emotion, sadness, jealousy that we can feel through their acting are so insane, they manage to portray the characters perfectly. 5 eps is never enough, i need moreee
Japan BL dramas don’t need to have 50 episodes to tell a story when the writing is good.

i hate how a 5 eps japanese bl drama captured my heart like no other, and I can't move on still. I love the storyline where it's subtle realistic but not that heavy for the heart. The amazing acting, and the characters on their complexity which just makes sense on the character's setting.
it's prolly the best BL drama so far this year and one of best BL drama of all time 😭😭
I hope we could see more BLs like Old Fashion Cupcake in future 💛💛

This shot to the top as my favorite BL! Everything about it was just perfect. The acting, the chemistry, the direction, the production quality…ugh it’s been days since I finished it and I still can’t get enough! Kami-sama, please give us a season 2🙏🏼
Does it have a happy ending?
This series just set a new bar and it is high. The acting. script writing, atmosphere, and honest communication was just so good. This type of series always leaves an ache when it ends.
This is now my top 1 Japanese Drama of all time. I say "drama" in general because to me, this should not be boxed within the BL genre only.
The life lessons, script writing, acting, cinematography and the over all production is top tier. I can't even count how many times I've rewatched this drama and each and every time, it evokes different feelings and emotions. I know I won't be able to find another drama as good as this one in a long time.
Not really into JBL, but Old Fashion Cupcake one of my fav among the ones I've watched. It have this unexplained mature setting that attracted me to watch. Watched this few times already.
I finished watching this almost a month ago… and I can’t stop re-watching it and looking for vids here on TH-cam.. The thing I like most about J-BL… they are MEN not BOYS.. and the storylines are real and not Fluffy… I wish this series was longer to clarify the ending better… but love everything about this.
It is based on a manga with the same title so you can look that up if they have English translations for that😫😫

I heard the manga is good when the trailer just came out. Look like it is another great short series after Cherry Magic! :)
Better than Cherry Magic because it's all real ... no fantasy about 30 year-old virgins being able to read people's thoughts.
I so loved this drama, the actors were perfect and they portrayed everything well and unlike most Japan bl I didn't experience any cringe moments,100% in my recommendations
Most Japan BL? You haven’t watched too many, then. If you think all BL from Japan are cringey, why do you keep watching them? Japanese Bl dramas are from mangas. No need to watch if you don’t like.
@@kuroneko7022 ni need to be on attack mode, I didn't mean their bl are cringe, I enjoy them and actively look for it, sometimes some of their scenes give me second hand embarrassment and I think that's because they're adapted from mangas and not because I have issues with them, all in all they do have beautiful storyline, sorry if my previous post was offensive to u.

This was a cute BL story but it’s not the best Japan Bl I’ve seen. I’d take Cherry Magic, Life Love On the Line, My Beautiful Man, His and Keita Hitsukoi over it. All BL stories aren’t the same and the Japanese ones are usually from mangas and they try to stay true to the storyline. If you’re always looking for a sweet, fluffy story with a happy ending, don’t watch Japan BL stories because that’s not what they’re always about, they’re complex like life. It’s annoying when people come on Japan BL dramas and complain all thru it. Watch Korean Bl because some Japan BL dramas can be raw at times. I only watch Japan BL dramas because they started the genre and do it best. They’re not afraid to show sexy scenes or parts of life that aren’t pleasant. Plus, all the characters aren’t trying to look or be perfect- that’s unrealistic.
