Great catch! I wonder when the Lirr will get new equipment. It would be interesting if the LIRR actually got F125’s like metro-link since they show brand loyalty to EMD
@@theventuracountyrailfan lucky. I live in Oklahoma, we have union Pacific, BNSF, a little bit of NS and CSX that I've seen. And OKC rail (obviously) but yeah, those are all the train companys I know that are down here, I've never seen a Metro North train irl, but I hope one day I do
Yep, that is definitely bigger than your typical Cummins. And that’s even bigger than the engines in the school buses I worked on over the summer. Yes I had a summer internship at First Student. Even the new Pierce trucks that my fire department got are powered by Cummins which in that case is in L9. The buses I worked on over the summer have the B6.7.
I really hope these things start testing on the lines up to Wassaic and Danbury soon.
same, id be all over those
Thank You!
These look awesome
Nice catch

You need a locomotive that can run on third rail and I think they said that LIRR Chargers are part of an option order
horn jumpscare
nice sounding motors too
End of an era for the P42 with 3rd rail shoes (P32ACDM)
That would be the SC-42DM
Was it in Electric mode?
I'm not sure, but I assume so since it was very quiet when pulling in.
bro how did you find out
I just so happened to catch it as I was traveling to the region with a friend.
It looks weird with the Shoreliners
0:26 bro jumped 💀
Happened to me with a rare mileage metro link train, it was a 59 phr leading and the p2 made me jump

With SC-42DMs metro-north will become just as horn happy as Amtrak’s. They barely did SAAHCs on P32’s and M8s
0:40 i see those baddass cummins quantom series-K engines or (QSK-95)
