I've been trying to fix this forever on my Samsun A20 and this did it finally! Thank you! Btw, didn't understand a word but just followed along and figured it out. I'll translate for the rest of the English speakers and hopefully it'll work for you.
Without having anything plugged in,
1. Enable developer options
2a. In developer options Enable USB debugging
2b. Enable tethering hardware acceleration
2c. Set USB default configuration to Tethering
3. Restart phone
4. Open Files App
I have an otg cable and a USB mouse(or whatever USB device you have). Unplug the usb device from the from the otg cable and
5. Plug the Otg cable in with the Files App open, with the USB device disconnected
6. Plug in the USB device to the otg cable
That's what I figured out by watching the video and as soon as I did step 6 the mouse finally worked. Hope it does for you to

I purchased two different otg connectors and the same ( your problem ) was resolved.Hope this will help you ! Thank you !

Ashsi bhai my otg is working fine no problem at all.
When i am connecting other device like keyboard through otg it's working perfectly fine..
But when i connect my card reader it's showing charging device connected
But there was nothing in the file manager
