@@graceclements6860 the black color in foil layer isn't about color it detects only the parts that the machine will use it for the foil, for the black background it will be printed normally in print file before the gold foil
How do you know if something should be printed and foiled, or foiled only? And does foiling have to be indicated 100% black? What if you have UV varnish too and this is indicated as 100% black? Should this be a different colour? Or should the UV varnish be done on a separate file?
What an awesome tutorial! My printers always want these in separate files so this is interesting that you have it on various layers!
Would this work if I were to design in a different program and save it to Adobe pdf?

All fonts should be converted to outlines before output.
