Fujifilm's $6000 Lens Problem

- A bit rambly but this is my one gripe with my favorite lens of all time.

I want you to make a 3 year review for this lens and also ship it to me so I can review it 😂. But yeah that’s absurd that they’d make such a bad lens hood for their most expensive lens in their lineup. Looking forward to that package in the mail 🙏🏼

I’ve only used this lens a few times, but it’s AWESOME. I have no justification to buy it like you have found, however. The lens hood thing you talked about here is ridiculous though!
@@JerredZ it's just so odd. The replacements were in stock too so I'm guessing it's a common issue with them
Good content but skip the damn music in the background - it is driving me crazy.....
I started dropping it in later videos. Bad habit from doing short-form ads and videos for years.

Such a poor craftsmanship for $6000 worth lens. Fujifilm really needs to do better than that.

My 200mm f/2 lens hood is came off while doing bird photography on the Chobe river, Botswana from a small craft and it sank before I had time to grab it. At ZAR 3,549 to replace, an expensive lesson learnt. I now tie light fishing line from the hood knob to the camera.
Mine just broke from...pressure? I've never heard of this issue from other large lenses with this style of hood but even my ancient Sigma one has never had anything like this pop up.

hi omar how to used the preset button of xf200mm f2. ?
You need to set it in your camera's menu settings for it to save the preset distances. I think that's the issue you're having because I had the same trouble when I first got it.

Come to DC and you can make your own 200mm F2 video! Resolve is amazing until it isn't, then it's dog water 😅

@@kendrasananikone truthfully, if adobe makes premiere and AE GPU accelerated, resolve will lose a lot of its appeal. Quick masking and coloring are miles ahead as well with 18.5, but it's very mediocre at most other things. I also don't find it any more or less stable than the Adobe stuff.
I look at the lense hood and wonder why nobody nicknames them funions 😂
It doesn't taste like them otherwise I'd be less upset
Broke my lenshood and the mount.
Fuji replaced the mount and I superglowed the lenshood.
Love the 200 f/2 and use it almost everyday for work. It just X-H2s could keep up with it…
Nah, every photo I ever took on it was with the X-T3. I'm actually going to do a video on it soon too. I'm curious, what do you do for work? I love the lens but almost never use it now, sadly.
I photograph motocross, track n field, drifting, weddings, portraits and rytmic gymnastics.
Started using the 200 with the x-t3 but it couldnt keep up with the motocross so I switched to Sony… and when x-H2s came out I went back 😂

Would love to get your thoughts on the 200mm F2. It is one of my dream lenses dare I say the last fujifilm lens I will purchase.
I have been meaning to make a video on it. Do you have any particular questions about it you'd like answered/tested there or an overall impression? It's probably my favorite lens of all time.
@@omarknowsphotos would love to see some application, experince using it vs using other long prime focal length, I personally have the 90mm F2 the 50mm 1.0 and I am adapting a 180mm F2.8 Nikon for my poor mans version of the 200mm F2.
@@Wolfgahto I'm going to try some Canon EF lenses adapted via speedbooster this weekend but will see if someone is down to do the 200 F2 later. I have a short or two where I shot a cosplayer maybe 3 years ago with it up for image references.
