Hello Imo Happy Saturdays I like it when nothing special going on Im having one of those days making Scones wish I could share x loving the plate in the dish washer lol
I tend to listen to this like a radio show and miss all your color correcting. Any amount of music practice is helpful, I'm sure. Some is better than none. Had more rain overnight. Humidity! After drought conditions, the farmers are relieved where it did rain.
Wow... you colour edit!? That's taking things to a way more professional level 😁😃 We simply adjust the volume in our filters... maybe we need to look at the colour as well, but that seems quite a bit more technical than anything we've done before! It was great seeing your setup... it looked well organised.
Thanks. Yeah I'm completely obsessed with learning to use my software as best I can while I've got the time during the pandemic. 😂 So frustrated with my out-of-whack monitor though. I couldn't get that calibrator to work yet. Disappointed! I was using a Sony Handycam from around January this year and the colour was just SOOO dingy looking on it for in-house shooting that I was forced to learn colour correction. Additionally, the whites were blown to the point that there were patches of the image that just lost all detail/texture and it was driving me absolutely bonkers. The GoPro just likes bright lighting conditions and is no good at all for shooting in my house. BUT now I went crazy and bought a third camera - Canon G7X Mark ii and it works incredibly well in low level light at home and is perfect for that, although it doesn't like background noise, I've found. You need a quiet room to film in. Again - that's OK for at-home filming. I don't need to colour correct that, although it has become an ingrained habit now and I can't resist tweaking when I spy something out of balance on the graph! 😂 Hopefully I'll be able to tone down the anality once I get my monitor fixed.
hi just a note about the cutlery holder you can fold the grid down so its four big holes to put spoons and so forth in that way you can get more in, I just found it out myself.
Well done for fighting through the procrastination and settling down to practice your flute! That's how I feel about making videos a lot of the time 🤣😂
Ahhhhhh I LOVE editing! I am never not bursting to be getting on with that. Unless it's for someone else and not a story/vlog. I'm not motivated to make music videos for example. They will sit incomplete on my hard drive - unless it's part of a vlog. One thing I will say is that, the fresher the footage, the more excited I am to edit it, so if it's built up and I'm editing vlogs from a few days ago or longer, I'm not as excited as if it was from today. Kind of like writing your diary a few days after stuff happened. It's like you've done your mental processing and are ready to move on psychologically from it by then, if you know what I mean. I try not to let it build up and tend to be editing the same day as I film if I can.
@@PlanetImo That's excellent that you enjoy editing so much! For me, it's not so much about the age of the footage, ie I loved working on my Plovdiv videos in March 2021 from our visit in 2019, yet really struggled to get started on my Alvor video the day after we were there! I like it when there's a nice easy storyline... and good footage. I'm 95% of the way through my first Lviv vlog but the footage was from my old phone and is awful... I'm so disappointed as we loved Lviv, and I'd have loved to have been able to show it in its full splendour
@@FrugalTravellers Ah interesting. :¬) Frustrating about the phone footage. Can you work around it at all? I had a lot of stuff I had to chop out with my old GoPro 5 - the audio was abysmal and the footage was so shaky. I did used to (well I still do all the time even with my dailies) separate the video and audio, edit them separately to get the best of both and then stick 'em back together again - i.e. chopping out extraneous noise on bits where there wasn't any talking and a quiet enough ambiance or white noise type background noise to be able to get away with it. Similarly, I might chop out shaky bits from the video. It's pretty hard to get a wind muff on a phone mic, too, I've found. I've tried but it blocked out the camera with the fluff. I tend to roll the bass right down for wind-noise improvement. where you need the audio in for speech etc.
@@PlanetImo Brilliant information, thank you! Yes, I often separate audio and video but just for individual clips where necessary, not the whole thing... voiceover can be very helpful in those situations as well 😁😃 I'd never heard of adjusting the bass to help with wind noise - thanks for that great tip. We still haven't wind proofed our GoPro9 but love what you've done with yours! With the Lviv footage, it's probably the worst footage I've ever taken! We were there for 11 days and have barely captured anything! I'm kicking myself for not having filmed more. We were sleeping in a 12-bed dorm with the typically less than considerate fellow guests we'd encountered throughout the region... taking phone calls at 1am, watching movies on the laptop without headphones, having heated discussions at 6am, and I think the lack of sleep and space must have got to me, as I shot way more footage in Kyiv even though we didn't enjoy it as much! Oh, the things we do to travel on a budget 😂🤣
@@FrugalTravellers Ah bummer. Never mind - you can get LOADS in Portugal. I wish I was there. I fully intend to get out there for at least a couple of months a year once Izzy's old enough to stay in the UK without me (or be persuaded to come!) She has college and then uni in mind, so probably I'll have to wait til she goes to uni.
All meals look good, great to save some money on pasties, even though Greggs is a good option at anytime. Iceland are really helping you out. Have a good week.
Thanks, guys! I'm sure I answered this comment (and many others) already but they seem to have disappeared. Weird! Hey - you might enjoy 'Frugal Travellers' channel - I'm bingewatching their playlists. They're in the Algarve, although they're interspersing their Algarve vlogs with Estonian ones that they have a backlog of footage for. I would have a peep if I were you as I have a feeling you will enjoy their simple speak-as-they-find style as much as I do. Small channel gem.
A different option to buying coffee sachets is to have a small plastic jar of coffee that you can half fill and take with you. We're travelling with one that we acquired in Krakow last year and one from Mini Preçio - we buy 200 gram glass jars of coffee on sale and transfer them into the plastic jars as are way lighter. We've almost run out of the Morrisons peppermint teabags we bought last October on an amazing special... I think they were 57p for a box of 50, so I bought 6 boxes 😃😁
So good to see you using sun block. I always worry about your skin. I use a children's formula for my face, but it's still white. Sometimes I use tinted, but it looks just as bad to me.
Ahh don't worry - I'm very mindful about sun. I rarely get warm enough to expose my arms and I rarely if ever wear shorts. I almost always wear a sunhat and I do tend to use sunblock as a back up if I think I'm likely to be exposed for any significant length of time, but thanks all the same! x
My mum's never been able to find a sun cream that agrees with her. Is the upsy daisy plate yours or Izzy's? Lol x I'd say 35 minutes is a good time when you're not feeling up to it x from Victoria
Ha ha! That plate WAS Izzy's but she grew out of it. I can't find a sunblock that doesn't irritate Izzy either. I try to limit her sun exposure instead. Thanks, Victoria. x

😊 Thanks Pamela. The scones sound lovely.

Yes, I bet they were glad of that rain. :¬)
I was JUST about to say I was surprised you hadn’t started booking gigs yet! 🤞🏻 for the outdoor pub gig!
Yeah! I hope so. I'm not a fan of playing outdoors but I'll take it! 😂

Nicely hyped up on two coffees 😁☕ We have a couple of those stovetop coffeemaker, left in storage in Australia and the UK 😃😁

Me too! We need that for Spog tea!
Hello Imo. Oh laundry sorting! 🙄 It's a never ending job!
So true!
Something is better than nothing with practice!
I'm sure I answered all these comments already - they've disappeared!!
Pizza and salad yum. I see the difference in color from the Monitor and Laptop.
Ah yes - I couldn't get that color sorter outer to work yet! Grr! Thanks so much for stopping by, guys. x
I can feel that gigging days are coming soon! Get ready! :)
I hope so!
You just reminded me that I need to wash laundry. 😮
Oh no! Not the funnest thing to be reminded about.

Yup!
I enjoyed to watch daily vlogs. It's interesting. thanks for sharing. Greetings from Korea.

Some of those factor 50 creams just don't let the skin breath at all.

Oh Imo the suspense. What is the new exciting toy?
😂 Spyder! It's more of a can of worms than a spyder.
I heard about your Spyder problem!
Yup! Haven't sorted it. I think IB'll do it in a flash.
