It’s funny because Namjoon is in the “middle” of the maknae and hyung line but hobi is a few months older than namjoon but you would think he was around the same age as the maknaes because he’s always goofing around with them 🤣
Hobi is officially known as the Captain of the Maknae Line. He plays along with them. And they adore him and follow him and also really value and respect him. Especially as their dance leader. They always look to him for praise and have all said his acknowledgment means a lot to them. In terms of their mutual support: For example during Chicken Noodle Soup the 3 Maknae’s were so enthusiastic in supporting him with doing the dance everywhere they could. He also takes videos and photos of them throughout the years etc. This video just scratches the surface but it’s a very cute compilation. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

The more content you watch, the more you'll notice that Hobi really always sets the tone, wether it's being funny/energetic or serious and professional. He's also such a mood booster. I don't know how to explain it but it just feels like he helps everyone be their best self. There's a saying that if he's not your bias, he's your bias's bias. Couldn't imagine BTS without him!
Hyung= term for older brother used by younger boys
Noona= term for older sister used by younger boys
Oppa= term for older brother used by younger girls
Onnie= term used for older sister by younger girls
Meanwhile
namdongsaeng= is a neutral term used for younger brother by both the genders.
Yeodongsaeng= neutral term used for younger sister by both the genders.
Ps. Maath-hyung means the oldest brother. (Jin in case of BTS)
And if ur in a formal setting where u have to address someone older, then koreans generally add -nim as suffix. When a yonger male has to address someone older formally, he uses "hyung-nim" and "nu-nim" . However, -nim is not added to oppa or onnie if a younger girl has ro address someone older formally.

I think the takeaway about Hobi from this video is that Hobi is "embracing." That's the word he uses. He takes people as they are and meets them there. He's very adaptable and puts others first so it comes naturally to him to give way and support and encourage others. The boys have always called him the glue that bonds them all together. He's a great leader and a strong personality, he just is really emotionally intelligent and adjusts to fill the space around him. It's such a great skill/trait to have in a team and it's why the people around him all talk about how easy he is to be around and how good he makes everyone feel.
Hobi is so sweet, and I like how he adapts to each of the members and does things that make them happy. Jin is also like this with Jungkook and Tae. He goes along with anything the youngest wants. The members are so sweet with one another.
Hobi is the best 💜 a person that everyone can cling on and be happy with 💜 would love to have someone like him around me, my life is so gloomy 😭

I'm guessing the people voting on the polls are not rapline bias' and are more maknae bias and that's why the videos for Jhope's birthday week were of his old music and a personality video that doesn't center around him. - The only members who can cook big, big meals are Jin, Yoongi, and Jungkook. The rest can cook still, Joon and Tae only a little (they are still practicing).
- 8:03 Taehyung went somewhere earlier that day and had just returned when the members were out to do grocery shopping. Tae thought of hiding to surprise them that he was back.
- The maknae line (as Joon loves to call them, the 'kids') have infinite energy levels and usually their hyungs take turns playing along with them, with Hoseok being the majority of it.

The maknae line is very close to Jhope, they are always together because they are from the dance line. In the video, Hobi's relationship with Jk didn't show much, they get along very well and are practically soulmates. I loved the reaction, hugs to you!!
V is not part of the danceline. Their choreographer Sungdeuk just complimented him on his dancing after Singularity but he was NOT officially added as part of the danceline.
The 3Js only are the danceline or have you ever seen V with the danceline doing any rehearsal or choreography.
Even in the busan concert,they all left and you saw only the 3Js when Hobi was making his video. I'm sure they were doing their rehearsal as the best dancers of the group. No shade to others but truth has to be told.

It doesn’t have an equivalent in English so sometimes the closest term is used when translating like brother etc. Noona is used by a younger male to call a close older female or older sister. A younger female uses Oppa to address a close older male person or older brother . And Unni is used by a younger female to address a close older female or older sister. Older people refer to younger ones regardless of sex as Dongsaeng. Just to confuse things these terms are also still used in Korea between married couples and same sex couples too. example many married couples where the female is younger will still refer to their husband as Oppa etc. or any of the other equivalents that were mentioned earlier. I see a lot of people get confused by these terms etc.
