Somehow, I suspect Chi had an idea what was up with her uncle, especially with her very cute smiles. Even Makato, at one point, sounded like a toddler tripping on her words. Now, Chi needs a cute little cousin or two! :)

As my sister started to leave, her daughter followed behind her, crying and begging her not to go. I once had a cute coworker have a similar misunderstanding about me. My first job was as a second shift male housekeeper at a hospital. One day, the cute 19 year old girl who worked the cashier window where people paid their hospital bills asked me where my wedding ring was. Since I was single, I asked her why she'd asked me that. She told me that she thought that I was older than I was, that I was married, and I had a couple of children. She thought that because I acted mature (I think I was born old), I was nice and polite and respectful, I was a good listener, and I didn't flirt with her or hit on her on her all the time. I thought about it for a couple of seconds. Then I pointed out that all of the other men in the hospital were actually married, wore their wedding rings but hid them when they talked to her, and were all in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, though they still hit on her and asked her out all the time. However, when she learned that I was single, she seemed indifferent to the fact, not happy about it like the FMC in this manga. It's a real shame that things can't work out in real life like they do in manga, like a girl who gets upset because a guy she's interested in seems to be married, but then she's happy when it turns out he's single. Sigh.
