From factory I hear they are set up for southern grasses. Supposedly you can adjust baffles. I mow down south and I don’t see a problem with the cut quality.
I looked at both the 460 and 260. Gravely was running a fleet promotion recently. I think it was 20% off. I chose the 260 because I felt it had most of the important features as the 460 and I got it for $9k out the door. I haven't used it much yet, but I think I will be happy with it. Great review!
The 260 is a great machine! It has the exact same frame as the 460. The biggest difference is the seat air ride seat. The 260 has a great seat. I think you made a great choice! Congratulations on your new mower! Thank you for watching!
Ouch! Why would u start anything up with the throttle wide open? Oil hasn't made it to any of the valve train or bearings therefore shortening the life of the engine significantly.
6:28 the engine was not at full throttle, I started it at half then went to full 👍. I have seen guys do that and I completely agree. Thank you for watching!
@@clemsontigz1lmao its not always about how "fast" you can mow. Most people cant mow at top speed anyway. Some of us prefer Quality over Quantity. Sometimes its about taking care of the customer, not the almighty dollar. And actually the hydros on my JD are ALOT quieter and smoother than the ZT5400. And 11mph is fast enough for me.......
The transport speed and life of the hydros is the point. Not mowing faster. You still mow at a normal speed but going from lawn to lawn faster saves time and money
First. Nice review. I like the gravely mowers best built by far. The cut quality needs some improvement and I would switch.
Thank you, I agree, it's built like a tank. I'll talk more about cut quality in future videos. 👍
Hopefully a blade change/upgrade is all it needs. Let us know if it's a bigger issue...like deck design, etc.
@@dgott7726 I installed G6 Gator Blades. Big Improvement on my 460

Thanks for posting this video. I own the mower and love it.
Great video. This kids a pro
How do you put the Gravely 460 in neutral if you need to manually push it?

What is a power bagger?

That’s why I was asking for a review!
That's awesome Nick, Congratulations. That's very exciting @@nick06tc
It’s awesome. Just got one last month.
Why are the steering arms hard to push forward. Can this be fixed
did you do the full review in spring? I cannot find it.
I didn't, because this video just about covered everything. I will have more content out on it this year

He didnt smh
interesting point, thanks for the tip
Those hydros are stupid loud...... My John Deere Z930M with 1300 hours on it aren't anywhere near that loud.......
I've never really noticed that until you pointed it out. But I'm used to it I guess
And your JD ain't near as fast as our mowers either. Zt 5400 by hydro gear best hydraulic system on the market
