excellent sermon and was right on point of what's happening in my life
i'm confused. The definition of divination is simply fortune telling. And the bible says.... "And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: Act 16:16. where did he get that she could "utter words without opening her mouth"
Hey, great question. When I studied the English word translated here as "divination"... I discovered that the the original Greek term referred to someone believed to be possessed with the spirit of Python. One attribute of someone possessed with this demonic spirit was that they could speak with their mouths closed. So I used ventriloquism as a modern analogy to help understand what she was doing under this demonic presence.
