    I can not apply the multi-section without extracting the 2 guide curves, But I don't get how the extracting helps. Could you please briefly explain what does it do that makes the multi-section possible?

      multi section surface need a profile to be selected, not some edges, that's why I extract them. Please watch again the tutorial and follow the easy steps.

    If you built this part the same way on Catia, NX and Proe would they all come out the same?

      theoretically yes, it is a geometry

    I don't find extract option in my CATIA V5 can you help me to find it

      in the GSD module: menu Insert - Operations - Extract
