After watching entry 59, Tim is now my new favorite character... other than the little bug who crawled across the ground while the camera was on the ground "don't mind me, I'm just a bug. You guys do your thing and try not to step on me, please."
Okay, so so far I have 3 "Teams" 1) Slendy and Alex. In some Slendy myths, Slendy uses servants(I don't remember their real names) to kill his victims or lure them and leave them in special places for him to do whatever he does with them. These servants were usually terrified possible victims who agreed to serve him instead of be killed. I Think the "Special Places" mentioned before are marked with the symbol (The 0 with an x) Alex is Slendy's servant. 2)Masky, Hoodie, and TTA. Basically, they're the good guys. 3) Jay, Jessica, Amy, etc. They just got caught up in this long battle between Slendy and team 2. Alex got caught in it, too, but he chose a side and began fighting as well. Team 3, however, is just trying to figure out what's going on.
They're called "proxies". A "proxy" is someone who acts on someone else's behalf, typically because they have more access to a person, place, or thing than the person they answer to, or that's my understanding at least. In the case of the Slender Man, he uses some form of mind control on them, they don't have any sort of choice or even an ability to fight back. And as hard as it is to think of TTA, Masky, and Hoodie as the "good guys", considering the kinds of videos like the one we're posting in the comments section of right now, they're definitely against Alex, and Alex is definitely working for Slendy, and Slendy is definitely the main enemy/monster here, so I'd have to ultimately agree with you. Amy got caught up in it probably just because she was Alex's girlfriend or whatever, but for the record, Jay CHOSE to get caught up in this mess - he CHOSE to go sticking his nose in places it didn't belong, to mess around with things he shouldn't have messed around with. As for Jessica, she just got caught in the crossfire…I feel for her more than any other character, actually - she was just in the wrong places at the wrong times, more innocent than anyone else at all. :'(
I like to think the guys in masks (Tim/Masky, Hoody, and totheark) are all former servants who lost their respective minds trying to fight the Operator (see also, Firebrand from TribeTwelve). What they don't know is that their attempts to fight it are only progressing its goals, whatever those may be.
***** I think Tim's mind broke from overexposure to Slendy (yes, I know, he's The Operator, MH makers have declared he isn't Slendy, but come on, how could you look at him and think he isn't?), so now Tim has his normal mind, and then a second consciousness of sorts that understands Slendy and wants to fight him, which takes over I guess when Tim's near Slendy or Slendy's doing something triggering…As for furthering Slendy's goals, I think those goals are far too obscure at this point for anyone to say ANYTHING about them - who says they're not being foiled by Masky and co.? We don't have the faintest effing idea what they could possibly be and can't say anything at all that isn't utterly wild speculation at this point…which is frustrating, considering this has been going on for YEARS, but hey, it keeps us coming back, doesn't it? XD
All these theories are proven wrong in entry 83 I'm afraid. Hoody is clearly working with Slendy, and is trying to get Masky to come back to do the same....
That black and white footage almost looks like (or is suppose to look like) the hospital before what ever happened there happened. Let's break it down: 00:10 - A classroom filled with children watching some sort of video. Don't know what else there is to say here. 00:20 - We have a tall gentlemen dressed in a suit who is observing the class. Along with that we have text: "look closely and you will know". Perhaps it is describing the man in the suit. 00:25 - Finally we have the drive up to what looks MUCH like the old hospital's entrance. So the Operator may have been some kind of teacher at the hospital? Who knows.
"close by i see you as always" "one day you will understand" "secrets Everywhere" "liars everywhere" "look closely and you will know" "see you soon" "hes watching" Close by i see you as always. One day you will understand (that there are) secrets everywhere (and) liars everywhere, look closely and you will know hes watching, see you soon. tried to arrange that to make more sence..
I think Jay could be a sleeper proxy... he shows signs of symptoms related to the “slender sickness” while filming in the earlier tapes... mainly in Alex’s old house. The black outs also lead me to believe he is being controlled by the operator... and when the operator is done with him...wipes his memories of the events.
@@MissileDoctor considering how heavily this series was influenced by slender mythos and vice versa. i'm not sure that it matters. also the "slender sickness" literally happens in this series to characters we know for a fact are being controlled by the operator. it's just called the slender sickness.
'One day you will understand' 'Secrets everywhere' 'liars everywhere' The spider at 0:21 'See you soon' Totheark is just excited about the new Spiderman flick! :D
Personally I like where this story is going. I think it's finally beginning to come full circle while still managing to answer questions with questions.
It was apart of an ARG that started in 2008 and ended in 2014 called Marble Hornets. There's a play list if you look up "marble hornets chronological order". It's not necessarily abandoned, it's more like the series is over... kind of. I mean there's a spin off called ECKVA and a comic continuation of Marble Hornets but otherwise yeah. The TH-cam side of things is over. I totally recommend the series though. And Night Mind (a youtuber) who does a terrific job explaining it all. I know this was posted 3 years ago, but just in case you're still interested.
The sound design in TTA's clips is getting better and better. This one even sounds like a piece of dark ambient, it's very layered and almost has a bittersweet sound to it. And they are starting to be a bit more liberal about how much of the plot they give away. I look forward to these videos as much as Jay's Entries, and respect that the makers take such an amount of time and effort to craft a genuinely mysterious and suspenseful story. I like this series a lot.
So in the "liars everywhere" clip, there are three puppets. I'm gonna guess that the upside-down one represents Alex, and the one that leaves is Tim, who seems to have bowed out of this whole thing for some reason, possibly forgotten what he knows. The third one may be Brian, as the light does not seem to be on him, and Jay is not really examining him right now.
here's what I think of “Session” : ( **involves spoilers of entry 58 and above** ) At the start of the video, we see a male near a working projector (or something similar if I'm wrong), then in the screen it says “one day you will understand” this could be totheark ''talking'' to one of our remaining characters. For me, I'm assuming its Tim or Alex. There's children watching some sort of film, the film has a bunch of trees and a car. This may or may not be referencing to Rosswood Park. “secrets everywhere,” Everywhere you go, every person you meet, they're always hiding something from you. “liars everywhere” has a scene of what it appears to be, three puppets. The second puppet falls after some time, foreshadowing of one of the characters' deaths maybe? “look closely and you will know” has a scene of children in a classroom watching the film with a teacher, wearing a suit. The classroom they're in might have been the one in Benedict Hall. The text “see you soon” is on an image of a doctor in his office, assumably. _Session_ is another word for “meeting.” totheark was planning on "reuniting" with them, or make another appearance. (Entry #58 supports my "small" theory, sort of) Also, if you pause or slow down the playback speed around 0:32, you can see the silhouette of the “man in the suit” or known as the Operator, with the text, *“he's watching”* This is referring to the Operator, and probably Alex as well at some point? It is theorized and believed that Alex has been watching the Marble Hornets channel once he found out about it. In the description, it says “close by, i see you, as always” which could be referring to Tim. Tim is _the masked man,_ or Masky, totheark (Brian) is _the hooded figure,_ or Hoodie. Both Hoodie and Masky worked together on trying to get rid of Alex, or help their friends. When Tim started taking the prescribed medicine, this causes Masky to be blocked out. Hoodie stalks Tim and tries everything he can so Masky can come back. That's my “theory” of Session.
my theory: alex has been working for slendie since way back before marble hornets, and the entire movie was just an excuse to get his friends into secluded areas so he could sacrifice them to him (jay was spared initially cause alex actually cares about him) slendie takes their souls (souls either feed him or make him more powerful) and they become soulless rage-monsters like hoodie and masky, however he can return their souls at will (sans memory of time spent soulless) in order to throw potential danger off the trail, slendie thinks jay is dangerous but also a potential asset in his quest for the ark which would give him some type of ultimate power (to become the devil or something as its been hinted that slendie is an evil spirit) so he's using alex to attempt to get Jay to unknowingly either reveal or take him to the location of the ark (that or Jay IS the ark and slendie will eventually possess him and try to take over the world)
ALEX AND SLENDER ARE WORKING TOGETHER!!!!!! i think... When Alex was in the tunnel and he choked the guy then smashed his head with a rock, who came? Slender. When he fell on the ground coughing, who did he crawl to? Slender. When Jay ran out of his apartment but Alex didn't, who was in there? Slender. Who was in the abondoned hospital with Alex and Tim? Slender. It makes sense. Also, I'm pretty sure Tim and Hoodie are scared of Slender. When Alex chased them into the woods, they looked behind him and ran. It doesn't make sense, who were they running from? The camera was glitchy so I'm guessing it was Slender. Also I'm pretty sure when Tim loses control to his mental health, he acts like Masky. In short, Slender and Alex are working together, Masky and Hoodie are scared of Slender, and Masky is an alter ego of Tim's. But that leaves questions, who is Hoodie? Why is he barely seen? And why is Marble Hornets no longer being produced? If you want to debate against each other on this comment feel free, just please don't be rude. Respect each other alright? Have a good day. Oh and also, if Tim is Tim currently, WHO IS TOTHEARK?
Morpheus Anderson ps watch the full thing , Tim and Jessica are the only ones left alive. The rest all died and it turns out Brian was hoodie, but a shell of Brian. And Tim killed him. That's who this account is, hoodies
This is pretty normal, I once dreamed of a man standing in the sea and I saw a movie with a very similar scene the next day. Sometimes people have dreams that predict future, you just have to recognise them.
hoodie does not like tim all that much, but defenetly has maskys back at all times, methinks hoodie wants tim to go and masky to stay. and from the looks of it, Alex to just die, but operator still needs him for something... I love how this is not just jumpscare fest but an honest to goodness mystery
The Operator doesn't actually seem capable of harming anyone directly. He seems to be motivated to cause as much fear and terror as possible, and causes his victims to attack each other. The identity of Totheark is still a mystery, as is his motivation.
"One day you will understand. Secrets everywhere. Liars everywhere. Look closely and you will know. See you soon. He's watching." seeing as this was posted after Jay started getting involved with Tim, it seems to be implying Tim is lying/has secrets[?] Could ToTheArk be the masked figure from entry #58?
It's not even close to being over. What we are seeing is a journey that we aren't fully prepared for, and I think it's all about how we have to get our senses up to snuff or we'll miss the answer
I think I've lost my soul and my face after watching these vids I was and am still crying.. 0-0. ;-; I feel like I'm being watched I'm rewllly uneasie help me god please help me...
+Karla Campbell Sorry, it's a late reply. But maybe watching THAC TV would help. If you're watching the totheark videos I'm assuming you are also watching Marble Hornets. The creators of Marble Hornets run THAC TV, which is a hilarious channel. Even if you don't enjoy the comedy you will at least get to see the characters as themselves, which may help.
Hey, I can tell you...John Carpenter's The Thing, had the same affect on me when I saw it in 1982, when I was 19! It made me paranoid, even though I knew it was only a movie! Some films know how to get into your psyche, and trigger a fear that we all have deep down inside: the fear of being unsafe, like there's nothing you can do to keep yourself safe! It's a legitimate fear, even if we're viewing something that is basically unreal! You'll be alright, trust me!
If you pause around 0:32, you see a quick glimps of good ol' Slendy standing in front of what looks like a garage with a message in the bottom right corner saying "he's watching".
Oh! Oh why am I so stupid!! All this deductive reasoning and I forgot THAT entry! Thank you. Now I see the connection that everyone's been making. So Hoodie and Masky are in cahoots, but not Hoodie and Tim. Thanks, I'll stop being stupid now.
Holy shit a spider :X Holy shit a silhouette that may or may not be slendy I remember when this related by Masky to the most recent MH episode. ERM. It was a cool way it was related, like with the binary, flashing numbers, and specific comments about stuff. BUT alluding to something still to be found is a good start (although a bit obvious, no?)
What is this demon that haunts our minds that plagues our very beings. He knows us well. He is inside of each and every one of us. He watches from the darkness the way a lost child watches a stranger in the dark. He is a shadow. He is our lost selves. He takes us before we can lose him. He does this not to destroy but to protect himself. He is us. We are him. Deep down inside, we are him.
Now that is an interesting perspective. Perhaps the fear he inflicts in others is a form of projected self torment and bitterness - his own fear made manifest in those around him. Then again, perhaps he is fear itself, made manifest by those who are affected by him. Totheark boasts he doesn't feel fear, and so may be unaffected by The Operator.
you i can respect. you stated your point of not liking MLP but were civil enough just to say that. i congratulate you on being one of the mature people on this comment section
Aha i thought that aswell, Tim has lost his memory but Brian could be thinking he just turned his back on everything. Weird how he hasn't confronted Tim though himself rather than basically call him out behind his back. I mean they must of had an understanding before, what happened to it now Also I haven't seen all the entries, is Slenderman the only 'creature' in Marble Hornets or are there guest appearances from others such as The rake for example
I feel like to the ark is hoodie which is bryan, who knows exactly whats going on and is keeping his identity a secret and is trying to stop slender man. Tim who doesn't really know whats going on until his seizures up becomes masky the right hand man and the force to stop alex. Alex is under control by slender man/ the operator. And loves to fuck around with other people such as tim. Who i feel tim is responsible for making the operator appear. Which the operator may be a ghost of some kind.
Ok, so does anyone else spend the whole video concentrating on the background to try and sleuth out the Slender Man? I always have to watch these vids twice, the second time I read the text XD
True... But Idk, I watched through a few of the first Marble Hornets/totheark entries and they're still creepy as hell to me. Seems like they've strewn away from just the dark and creepy side and went more into trying to physically tell a story. I mean, I'm all for it and interested to see where it all ends up, but it's not at all creepy or scary to me anymore.
Don't you think that's what thy want us to feel. Secure in our thoughts before we end up taking a plunge into their tale. here's what I think of “Session” :
( **involves spoilers of entry 58 and above** )
At the start of the video, we see a male near a working projector (or something similar if I'm wrong), then in the screen it says “one day you will understand” this could be totheark ''talking'' to one of our remaining characters. For me, I'm assuming its Tim or Alex.

_Session_ is another word for “meeting.”
totheark was planning on "reuniting" with them, or make another appearance. (Entry #58 supports my "small" theory, sort of)

This is referring to the Operator, and probably Alex as well at some point? It is theorized and believed that Alex has been watching the Marble Hornets channel once he found out about it.

The "Slender Figure" in MH is NOT slenderman its another being of the SAME SPECIES that is more powerful and has VASTLY DIFFERENT motives

"One day you will understand. Secrets everywhere. Liars everywhere. Look closely and you will know. See you soon. He's watching."
seeing as this was posted after Jay started getting involved with Tim, it seems to be implying Tim is lying/has secrets[?] Could ToTheArk be the masked figure from entry #58?
Its not real u is ok o3o
Hey, I can tell you...John Carpenter's The Thing, had the same affect on me when I saw it in 1982, when I was 19! It made me paranoid, even though I knew it was only a movie! Some films know how to get into your psyche, and trigger a fear that we all have deep down inside: the fear of being unsafe, like there's nothing you can do to keep yourself safe! It's a legitimate fear, even if we're viewing something that is basically unreal! You'll be alright, trust me!
That little blip of an image at the end was Slendy or something standing in a doorway with 'He's watching' written on the bottom right hand corner.
Different story though. You never know, might work here. Probably not.
If you pause around 0:32, you see a quick glimps of good ol' Slendy standing in front of what looks like a garage with a message in the bottom right corner saying "he's watching".
Tim just wanted to take a piss…
I think the Operator feeds of of fear and terror and this strengthens it. Also, and Maybe it is ITS motivation.
The puppets reminded me of candle cove, now I'm too scared to sleep. DAMN CREEPYPASTAS!!! >_
Same here. Got lucky with that pause lol.
Oh! Oh why am I so stupid!! All this deductive reasoning and I forgot THAT entry!
Thank you. Now I see the connection that everyone's been making.
So Hoodie and Masky are in cahoots, but not Hoodie and Tim. Thanks, I'll stop being stupid now.
I honestly liked Lost all the way through. It wasn't as 'scary', but well worth the watch.
Hasn't advanced since...well, so little has happened it's hard to find a definitive 'event' worth remembering.
"closeby
i seeyou
as always"
Well shit. So much for a good night's sleep.
Oh man, I love Candle Cove!
"he's watching"
"Cahoots" Lmao.
There are different Slenders The operator, The Guardian, The tree man. All I can remember in my state
yhW oD I leeF ekiL sihT egasseM sI roF eM?(i am writing it like that because i feel a little ridiculous)
Slenderman is like Herobrine just in real life :P
"He's watching" end flash...
Shed a tear.
I'm starting to think more and more, that totheark is a good guy.
ToTheArk really reminds me of the cutscenes in You Are Empty.
Holy shit a spider :X
Holy shit a silhouette that may or may not be slendy
I remember when this related by Masky to the most recent MH episode. ERM. It was a cool way it was related, like with the binary, flashing numbers, and specific comments about stuff.
BUT alluding to something still to be found is a good start (although a bit obvious, no?)
Gives me chills.
He is us. We are him. Deep down inside, we are him.
where do they find all these creepy old video clips thats what i want to know?
Thought that spider was actually on my computer screen and I almost fell out of my chair...
Him:see you soon
Me:....w-what
Fresh souls await you , Master!
FINALLY GOT IT!! It says "He's watching" with a frame of the second most recent entry where the camera was upside down and y Slendy was visible.
you i can respect. you stated your point of not liking MLP but were civil enough just to say that. i congratulate you on being one of the mature people on this comment section
How romantic.
slender mane does have his own creepy pasta and it is on par creepy wise with marble hornets in a different way. he also has his own theme song.
Aha i thought that aswell, Tim has lost his memory but Brian could be thinking he just turned his back on everything. Weird how he hasn't confronted Tim though himself rather than basically call him out behind his back. I mean they must of had an understanding before, what happened to it now
Also I haven't seen all the entries, is Slenderman the only 'creature' in Marble Hornets or are there guest appearances from others such as The rake for example
Totheark has gotten a spider side-kick
If Slenderman really hangs out in abandon places then me and my friends are screwed.
nah it seems more like season 1 Totheark than an entirely different person
Loved this one. x3 DESPITE ITS MESSAGE AND CREEP FACTOR. TOTHEARK. I MUST APPRECIATE YOUR ARTISTIC VISION!
Alex R. Kralie? Ark? Just a guess. I have no idea what Alex's middle name is oxox
I think the 'ark' is Alex. Totheark, on the other hand, is Masky and Hoody. They work as a team to lead the Operator 'to the ark'.
@GriffinPilgrim True. He also seems to be able to make the truly affected teleport around.
subliminal "he's watching" \o/ yaaay
there was a picture of slendy at the end, and the words "he's watching you"...it was just a flash
this is so cute core and me pilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so does anyone else spend the whole video concentrating on the background to try and sleuth out the Slender Man?
I always have to watch these vids twice, the second time I read the text XD
Actually calm stuff, does anyone know if there is a piece of music in here?
Totheark is probably having a good laugh.
More importantly, does this mean there's gonna be a new MarbleHornets that doesn't suck?
indeed i think it said "he's watching."
you good sir made the only valid point i found on youtube today
Classic set up the reader get them to shrug before making their hair turn white when something hits so close to home you'd want keep something sharp next to you when you hear a sudden noise.
