It was a first test flight. That seemed to be a good name. You see, the there was a campaign by which many Kerbals requested the new shuttle be named after a spaceship in one of their favorite TV shows.
I remember this one. I don't know if I'll have time for it, but I remember this really brought the United States into the conflict. The US began keeping a carrier TF in the area and had several engagements with the Iranian and Iraqi navys.
While the covert operations of the Knational Intelligence Service are interesting, they are not as visually stunning. Mostly what I've decided to include are the events that highlight the military hardware or spacecrafts developed by the major powers.
@@Canguro2010 that's not a bad idea. I'm currently working on another significant event involving one of the major powers. Maybe I can work it in. Part of my issue is all the time spent designing the various equipment. It's nice when events use pieces I've already built.
I don't know if I'll get to that one or not. There are so many crazy aircraft that were developed during the Cold War. Already, I wish I had time to cover aircraft like the Caspian Sea Monster or the Flying Pancake or the Goblin or the Coleopter...

KSP2 early access is next month. I plan on focusing on it at that time, but I do intend to finish this current series.

Thanks. Ground vehicle's can be about as tricky to make as aircraft. The BTR 70 was probably the most time consuming with its odd angles to its armor.

@@Echo3 My uncle was on one of the ships in the area at the time, and his ship even got shot at by an Iraqi missile (though, fortunately, it missed).

The wing parts are all stock with maybe a piece or two from airplane plus. The Camo is from DCK.
