Normally, you will gain a benefit if you are able to clash with the opponent using Slugger, since most of the times your clash attacks are counted as counters, doing some more extra damage

Other path is where you delaying your m1 at a time, making them confused that they think they can just take a few m1. It can be annoying for them if they tried to guess is it charged or not in a short time. The only way to counter this is by perfect dodging the first m1
The dev needs to buff or rework the long guard style, cause it's too weak if compare to other style, from his low m1 block damage and his dash is kinda bad, the only good thing about long guard style is his above avarage range. Long guard is in my opinion is the weakest among the common tier style, and the leash used style in the game, i've seen more turtle main than a long guard main. slugger will stop attacking and walk away untill they reach maximum range and throw a m1. the best way is to outbox quickly charge stamina and punch lower the block so they are forced to let go no the bug won't be fixed it has to do with laggy players

So basically y'know Iron Fist's passive on how any counter damage is reduced to 60% of it originally was? Yeah that passive actually is really fucking good when used with the right hands. Here's the tech: You just need to get countered constantly and the average damage of ur opponent will DECREASE. Now I know there are other styles like Chronos and other counter styles that could negate this, but with every other style it's also true. Like genuinely, I did a freedom combo on an Ironfist player while it's taking counters and it tanked ALOT of it HOLY FUCK. The potential for this is insane. I don't know everything here, so I offer you all this: Experiment with it's passive as MUCH as you can in order to know the ins and outs of all of it. I tried this with Freedom and holy fuck it just makes Freedom's damage output and unpredictability INSANE

A tip for new slugger players is to hold back on those m2s if ur opponent is prone to backdashing and instead punch them into the ropes or a corner as a way br able to corner them. Thisis surprisingly really easy as well due to sluggers massive m1 knockback

it's not that op if your reaction time is good just dash forward and you won't get hit by the m2 and then punish him if he tries to m1. the only weakness I can see to slugger is the lack of timing with other players s if you use your s/dash in the right time then the slugger won't be able to pressure you much and it's always good block if their stamina is half way so that your block won't get melted too hard 🙏 (slugger is meta for now)

i fought a slugger earlier, and my hp went to 100% to 3% in only 42 seconds. i counted. and worst of all, i cant pd thier high dmg m2 so i have to eat the raw and big dmg they deal
it's not that op if your reaction time is good just dash forward and you won't get hit by the m2 and then punish him if he tries to m1.
the only weakness I can see to slugger is the lack of timing with other players s if you use your s/dash in the right time then the slugger won't be able to pressure you much and it's always good block if their stamina is half way so that your block won't get melted too hard 🙏

Sad thing is doing a full charge m2 does the same amount of damage as a no charge m2, full charge m2 only makes the opponent regen less
