I was saved in this church in 1975. And I've never looked back! I got my roots here. Pastor Smith was indeed a true man of God! Thank you God for leading me to this church and this great Pastor!
Hi LaVerne...and you led me to the Lord Dec. 1977. I will never forget the Lord using you to lead me to Deliverance and Him. I remember you invited me to church and had a seat waiting on the second row from the front and when the altar call was given, I was holding on to the white railing looking up at Pastor Smith as I recited the sinner's prayer to salvation. Praise God for Pastor Benjamin Smith and my church home of 33 years with Bishop/Pastor Lambert at Bethel Deliverance Int'l. Church.
Wow ! Pastor Timothy Jones singing ... memories I was in the Sunbeam Choir, the Cub Scout and Boy Scouts Troop #690.. the 80’s Belfield Ave - Children’s Church. I miss church like this.. my life has taken me a lot of places but I never forgotten the teaching of the late Pastor Benjamin Smith.. glad I gave my life to Jesus, so grateful for the obedience of my mother taking me and my brother to church every week on Broad street & Pastor Smith always giving the strong word of God.. D.E.C. Family forever in my hearts even though I no longer live in Philly ..
Small world!.. I sang on the Sunbeams,Junior Choir on Broad street in the 80's early 90,s. My brother was in the cub scouts with Sis. Janice Woodus!! We probably knew each other!
@@robertdennis7029 Agreed!. Pastor Smith was the real deal!!. A true man of GOD. I no longer attend DEC, however my Mom is still an active member and I'll always remember the teaching, the fellowship, and getting snacks at Children's Church!😂😂
I used to live right across the street from this church in the early 80s, but I never went inside. I didn't start going to Deliverance until it moved to 21st and Lehigh Ave. I don't go anymore, but I thank God that I was able to sit up under Pastor Smith's teaching about Jesus.
Thank you for uploading this video… I just saw my grandma in this video singing on the choir and she had just passed on about a month ago. This has giving me even more reassurance of where she will be when we meet again 🥹🙏🏾❤️…
I was raised here! Sang on the Sunbeam and Junior Choirs! When DEC moved to Lehigh, Sang on the Youth and Young Adult Choir!. This brings back memories!

I Miss Church Like This
The first church I sang in the the youth choir back in the mid 70's until we moved to Fla. in 1979. Great memories
We kept it holy back then. No showbiz. No wiggling and jiggling and no performances. Just pure praise and modest apparel.
Wow this brings back memories. Please keep uploading these!
Yes, me too. It says 6 years ago, but it was longer ago than that
Wow !
