Cultural Nite 25: Maalaala "Mole" Kaya
"Cultural Nite" is an annual theatre production combining the art of drama, dance, and musical performance.
2019's production, "Maalaala 'Mole' Kaya", revolves around Milagrosa, a Lumad girl, who writes a letter to the good old Ate Charo, host of famous TFC show "Maalaala Mo Kaya." Ate Charo reads the tragic, bittersweet life of being part of the southern indigenous culture: from war to her coming of age. She then encounters a young igorot man named Mikko. During evacuation, the two were separated as they were about to share their "pandesal". The two kept their piece as a way of remembering each other and they are reunited in the tragic-comedic love story of this time.
