@@michelewalburn4376 well, I think the reason for the spirits appearing to my parents was for 2 separate reasons. My father grew up in New Mexico and his father had a fire station on his ranch a few hundred feet from the main house so he had to answer more than his share of emergency calls. My mom was a police dispatcher and had to call in fire and rescue units when things got hectic. The fire truck itself is still banged up, but its mostly used as a display piece.

I lost a friend due to a motorcycle accident. She lived in a coma for five years. When she started coming out of the coma the shock of it killed her. She was 19 when the accident happened. The driver lost his leg, but she lost her life. Please don't get on the back of a bike without a helmet and please never with a drunk driver. Please Don't do it. It's not worth the risk.

I used to live in SC, and it's legal to ride without a helmet there.... I dated a few bikers, so I was often on the back of a bike with no helmet. Mind you, this was when I was much younger and before I had kids. I would be scared to death to get on a bike now, even with a helmet. It's crazy how many risks we take when we're younger, and we think nothing can hurt us.

A drunk motorbike rider with a passenger killed my grandparents on my mum's side when she was 15, pretty sure the rider T boned them on an intersection. I think the passenger survived but the rider and my grand dad died instantly, and my grand ma died later in hospital.
They tested the dude's blood alcohol reading and he was in the "clinically dead" range, so he was absolutely fucked, probably couldn't stand in one spot let alot ride a fucking motorbike

  • @ThisAlphaWolf

Well. This video sure brought back some memories for me. At least, what I can remember. Relatively certain that I probably caused some EMTs PTSD on that day.
25 years ago, I was hit, dragged and run over by an SUV being driven by a drunken doctor's wife on the highway. As they finally noticed me scrambling to cross, they locked up their brakes and slid into me when my foot was just about to hit the white line on the side. The side that I was trying desperately to make it to. I was 15 years old at the time and in pretty good shape. Still, I was little more than a speedbump to the speeding SUV. This began one of the most unbelievable paranormal experiences of my entire life. For instance, I distinctly remember many things that should have been impossible occurring. Like looking down upon myself laying in the ditch, while people surrounded my body. But that was only at the beginning. Once I was back in my body and 'came to', I went into shock from the multiple injuries to my teenage body. Almost every part of my body had some kind of injury. From a concussion to collapsed lung to an 18" impact wound on my lower back to the fact that my left foot was pointing the wrong direction, and numerous other injuries of varying degrees everywhere in between. Imagine being the first responders to be called out on that one.
Perhaps, if anyone is interested in hearing about the entire event, including the paranormal occurrences and the aftermath, I'll write it down and submit it. If not, it's all the same to me. Either way, I already have PTSD myself, and telling it is actually somewhat therapeutic for me at this point in life. It would probably be a little long, but if anyone wants to hear it, I'll send it to Mort and then he can decide if it's too long to be included in a video.
Anyhow, I know very well how it feels to be on the other side of these kinds of things, although I have to admit that it may be worse for the people giving it their all to save your life. Of course, there is fear of dying but it is often buffered by pain and shock. First Responders have to keep it together to do their best to keep people alive in route to hospital. And for that, I would personally like to say a heartfelt thank you to any and all that do this kind of thing. Someone like you helped to save my life on that day and that means more than words can properly convey. You have my unending admiration, respect and the utmost appreciation and I thank you all for choosing to do what you do.

      @AB-ut2be 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes!! Submit it!

    • @ThisAlphaWolf
      @ThisAlphaWolf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Well, it seems like there are enough people interested, so I will get on getting it written up and submitted for Mort to have a look at. Thank you to everyone for your well wishes. They are appreciated.
I, fortunately, had an orthopedic surgeon overhear about my leg on the day before it was scheduled to amputated and he came back literally as they were getting ready to take me to the OR. Even after I had told them that he had come in and spoken with me. It was a close call and 25 years later, the complete reconstruction that he did is still hanging in there. He made no promises on how long it would hold up on me and said that I may step off of a curb someday to it crumpling on me. Still going, although I have had the ACL and MCL on the other side blow out on me from overcompensation. I have some longstanding issues with the injuries that I sustained, but above all else, I am still here to tell the tale. So I suppose that I should.
I'll warn you all that there is a lot to the entire story. And although some of it will very likely sound made up, I can promise you all that I will not embellish or fabricate a single detail. I wouldn't need to. It's seriously strange all on it's very own.
For those that have responded, I'll give you a little teaser too. I came very close to being ejected from the hospital after I was finally moved from the ICU, because I had some visitors with less than honorable intentions and back then, I was a pretty wild teenager that was not afraid to defend myself. So I did. After the hospital found out WHY I did what I did, though, they were a lot more understanding. They made sure that a list of allowed visitors was posted to my door and strictly adhered to after that as well. But yes, it would be nice to share the story with you all. I have shared it with other people that did not know me or my family back then, including doctors, and they seem to find it hard to believe since by appearances, I seem pretty normal to them.
My medical records have been purportedly been destroyed, since the hospital is only legally obligated to keep them for 10 years. I can't even find an archived news article on the accident. I saw one years ago and I should have printed it off because now all I have to go off of is my word, the testimony of the people who were present at the scene and my scars. Well, that and the memories of the events.
I thank you all for wanting to hear me out. I believe it will be good for me. Especially to tell my story to people that will actually believe me about the incident itself, let alone the paranormal portions of it. I know very well that by all rights, I probably shouldn't even be here today and honestly, I'm pretty grateful to be here.

I don't think many members of the general citizenry have a realization of the horrors that many LEOs have endured in the regular course of conducting LE in the field.
Suicides, attempted suicides (which may be worse, depending on the carnage), murders, domestic violence (often w/ innocent children in the midst), dead bodies; both fresh and not-so-fresh, and a near infinite amount of other horrific things that cannot be un-seen, un-heard, or un-smelled.

@@tomh.648 Thank you Tom. It was a small town in Massachusetts, even so, some of the calls we'd get were really scary or just really nasty. Domestic calls were the worst and are the most dangerous to walk into (I'd think that most cops would agree.) Some car accidents I attended were quite difficult to deal with (obviously) but none of us could show any fear or any other emotions because we'd be judged by our peers or any survivors or bystanders. Unfortunately, many people seem to dislike the police...that is until they have to call 911 in the middle of the night because someone broke into their place and their standing there in their underwear and it's 35°F outside. You see people at their most vulnerable and at their absolute worst. It was definitely a learning experience. I had to retire after severely injuring my back at 25 (I started my law enforcement career at 19.) I really felt that it was a privilege to be a LEO and I have a huge amount of respect for all public servants: Police, EMS, Search and Rescue, Rangers, et al. They are heroes, one and all.

I used to want to volunteer as a firefighter/emt at one time before I fully got into both writing and railroading. The main reason in particular why I decided to deter down my original path my grand and great grandfather (He was a B&O brakeman) basically inspired me into choosing, was the fact that when I was going along through the many stages of pregnancy with my daughter at the time, I heard about the numerous number of both kids and fellow moms I would most likely have to work on rescuing and lifesaving, often times to no avail and equally similar to animal deaths, that would affect me pretty damn hard.

Some years ago, there was a horrible car accident close to where I live.
In an industrial area of my town, a major road takes a sudden turn left into a small, unlit crossroads.
The speedlimit of the road is 100km/h (~62mp/h) and only shortly before the curve a sign of 80km/h can be seen.
One night, a car with three people inside crashed into the crossroads. They must have been speeding, lost control of their car in the curve and hit the signal lights, stripping the post right off the ground as their car was tossed all over the place. As it happend right besides a huge car factory, the first ones to arrive at the site were the plant fire brigade.
The lucky guy who didn't have his seatbelts buckled up died instantly as he got flung out of the car. The other two burned to death in the wreck, while the plant firemen couldn't do anything for them quick enough. Apparently, the three guys were coming home late at night after barbeque, and there were several bottles of firestarter liquid in their trunk, which set the car ablaze.

...I... managed to fall asleep before the first story got more than 2-3 sentences in. That's never happened to me before. Well, not nearly so early on. Been listening to you and a few others for a couple of years now, to assure myself that others have gone through far, far worse than my current mere money issues.
No matter how creepy the stories have gotten, I've had no trouble listening from beginning to end, knowing that most of these wouldn't have been shared if the one going through it hadn't survived. To me, that makes most all of your stories ones of triumph, of survival against the odds. Is that strange, to look at these tales you share from a positive angle? Because even with the trauma they may still suffer, they DID survive, most of them.
Excellent selection, all of them ones that would be terrifying or horrifying to live through. Started it over a few minutes after it ended, and stayed awake for the whole of it, this time! Was online chatting with a friend, and the app told me how long I'd been napping, more or less. Please keep up the good work. I look forward to having a full time job again, so I can afford to become a patron of your channel.

I'm not a first responder, but one week ago my husband and I saved a womans baby from a pit bull attack. The mother was getting mauled and the dog was actively trying to get past her to the child. The mother was losing a lot of blood, there were pieces of her flesh on the ground, and the baby was covered in blood (thankfully it was the mothers blood). My hubbs picked up the baby and rushed her to our porch, I called 911.
We just heard screams for help and ran towards it... I dont know how some people do this for a living.

Ok can’t help but think the story about the kid shooting a rap video might be tweaked a bit. Bullets don’t bounce around in your head, as far as I know. And if they do, I highly doubt they come out again, since the bullet probably lost a lot of velocity from the brain mass and from bouncing off the skull. Either way, something seems off about that story.

    TRIGGER WARNING
My dad used to work at our neighborhood fire station before moving on to different stations around our state (Now he's retired). When he first began working on the job, he was an EMS. One of the most terrifying calls he's ever gotten was when a suicidal veteran was planning to off himself that night. My dad including some of buddies (who are still his buddies to this day) arrived at the scene in the backyard. The was said to be in his shed so they started to approach it, calling his name (We'll call him John). My dad was starting to get really worried about John when no response came from him. Suddenly, John came out of the shed with a hand saw in one hand and his other hand was dripping blood along with the smell of alcohol. Apparently, John was so depressed that he got himself drunk and was trying to test that he could make his death painless by nearly cutting his own arm off. My dad and his friends stared in horror as John stared at the, emotionless and (in my father's words) "possessed by something else." Long story short: he was rushed to the hospital before being transferred to a mental hospital. That memory still sticks with dad today and he hopes he'll never has a call like that ever again.

My grandmother woke up one night from a nightmare. She had dreamt that her son had gotten into an accident on his motorcycle. When she woke up she was hysterical and called around, trying to get a hold of him, or the hospital and even the morgue. Her son, my uncle, eventually called her to tell her that he was fine, had been passed out drunk in bed (which is why he didn't answer her.) He did own a motorcycle. That night, the night of the dream, he had let a friend of his drive it. That night, the friend had lost control and got wrapped around a tree.
If you're going to drive a motorcycle, please please please, stay safe. Always be alert, and always always always, wear the proper safety gear.

Alright. So, a little after 3:36 they talk about no longer needing their SCBA after the fire was knocked down.
As a volunteer firefighter, I feel it necessary to address this.
It is a common belief, but is completely incorrect. There will be carcinogens and harmful gasses being created for AT LEAST 72 hours after the fact, if not longer. You should be wearing all of your PPE for the entire time you are in the structure because it is protecting you from those gasses and carcinogens. Not wearing it during overhaul and investigation is a big part of why we are seeing so much cancer among firefighters.
