Hi sir i am facing some issues after importing mov file into the software.... The playbecomes way laggy and it's not at all possible to edit whereas mp4 file is totally smooth.. I am using an i5 12gen system with gpu....is there any way you can help me solve the issue

After importing the footage to your bin, click on the metadata panel to see the image details. Can you check it it's 10bit or 8bit footage?
Mov files are mostly h. 265 10bit files, which are great and size efficient but very heavy on all kinds of computers.
So, if it's h. 265 file then just make proxies of your files.
Use the proxy generator that must have installed itself when you install resolve. Use that to create proxies, it will help you in editing smoothly.. Then while exporting or color grading you can use the full sized files. No problems.

Yes sir it's 10 bit footages as you said.... I couldn't detect the problem as I have only worked with hd videos till now and it was lagfree ....now I will have to use proxies.
