Greenfield Village is the BOMB. Spend a day at the living village. We use to live in Detroit and Greenfield Village was a special wonderful treat.
We just got home yesterday. All I can say is OH MY GOD! What an incredible experience. OMG. We have to go back cuz we missed so much! We were there 2 days in a row from open to close and STILL managed to miss stuff. The museum and the village are incredible. What an amazing preservation of American history - literally from it's birth until present day. I'm still speechless. Just completely overwhelmed by it all. I loved every minute of it.
@LovelyMalia yes and I lived in Detroit for 2 decades and still missed parts of that wonderful place. Once a teacher told my son he couldn't go on the trip because he stressed her nerves. I was like I will chaperon him and anyone else you have a problem with, but you are not denying him the experience. I just remembered that life hurdle. He was just too gifted and talented for her. Lol!
The Smithsonian is wonderful. The museums and monuments are wonderful educational exposure. So let her go. DC is so beautiful in the spring. Find out how many days and what venures are on the list. I took middle schools to DC on the mega bus one spring and we had a ball. I tried to walk them to death, so they would go to sleep once the night came. The worst thing about the trip was parents were late picking their kids up and the kids had too much energy on the return trip.
Yeah I'm gonna go with her and I'd never let her miss out on it...I just get anxiety over it. And last year they went in the fall and apparently a lot of kids were sick with flus so EVERYONE ended up sick... Hopefully this year we won't deal with that crap being in the spring instead of Nov
#momtruth on teaching your kids to be idependent....rewind...back up....video tape...for me I say let me get a video of this...I have my dads camcorder from back in the day...#videotaping LOL Love the painty pprs and the stenciling on them.😎😎
I explained rewinding a video to my kids the other day and they couldn't believe you had to sit and wait for a movie to get back to the beginning 🤣
@@LovelyMalia Do you remember you could buy a rewinder (machine) so you could rewind in that and then put in your next tape to watch LOL🤓
