Hi just an alternative method for P3 question 1
Total marks...150*30=5400
A...Passed students total marks =40x
B..Failed students total marks= 20X
A+b=4500
40x+20x=4500
60x=4500
X=75

To make the equation simple...
It helps to reduce big values to smaller value without effecting the equation,
Like
1002 - 1001 = 1 ;
And
2 - 1 is also 1 ;

5:00 in this question why we didn't add the speed and divide by 2.
Because this is avg speed and speed depends on dist as well as time
And that formula which she has derived comes from total dist/ tol time which is formula for avg speed u can put in that and will find that dist is cut so this become shortcut
