  • Here is an interesting talk that we had with Edoarado back at the Academy. What are the chances of becoming a pro if you started tennis at 13? What it takes to raise an ATP star? How to become a real tennis coach? Answers on all the questions you'll find in the video 😉

Just a couple of days ago another tennis parent said my son had no future in tennis...... coz he has not been winning......My kid has started playing tennis at the age of 12, he is 15 now and wants to become a pro. This gives me hope!!!

Whoever told you that does not know what they talking about. Jannik Sinner, who is currently one of the best players in the world, and got to quarterfinals of us open, started tennis seriously at 13. So many players have not won a lot in the juniors, and ended up to be great pros. As long as he has the passion, drive, discipline, and game to be a pro, he will achieve his goal. Juniors is for development

Sinner was a pro skier. His footwork is insane and still trained at an incredible high level. Downhill skiers have some of the craziest training ever!!

@@rythmflow9828 "seriously" doesn't mean he didn't play tennis before. At 13 he was already a good player and was ranked 3.4 and 3.2 in Italy...ad a 4.5/5.0 in USA...not a boy with the first raquet in his hand for sure...

@@marcomonti9823 I know, that’s why I said seriously, his main sport was skiing and he played tennis for fun before that

@@rythmflow9828 At the time I saw him playing at the National italian championship u14. He was clearly something different from the others(I claimed italians may have found the miracle when none speaked of him), but he was a little twig and can't be competitive with same aged guys.

Starting tennis at 16, we will see what happens
Small goals to prevent unsatisfaction, hard work can result im surprising myself and others

I don't know. I'm seeing a man fighting with the windmills. Too many problems apparently on this guy. Maybe he should not force this young guy pursuing a pro career he couldn't have.

main think no one tells, you need to have very large pockets or a good investor. regular mortals don't have access to such privileges, even though they might be better. The sad story of life :(

What I did not find in this video is the promised answer to the listed questions. What are the chances of becoming a pro if you started tennis at 13? What it takes to raise an ATP star? Can you add them perhaps? Thanks
