Thanks so much for this one. Just to see the late Tony Fernandez with the emotion.

I'm just learning of this. Loved watching him play.

@1:10:58 Love ya, Tony. Watched from a family friend’s box along the first base line that night - the mood was subdued but sour through three innings, but this provided the major boost the team and crowd alike needed. Tony’s big fist pump was how we all felt and made for a great photo in the next day’s papers.
Toronto just wasn’t in Oakland’s weight class in ‘89, but this game and the next were Toronto’s best shot at pushing the series into a long one, and they battled valiantly.
But Jay offence dried up in the last one. A game Stieb kept it close at 2-0 into the seventh and the Jays even outhit Oakland, but collapsed in RISP situations and were done for.

About the opening segment, it's funny how THREE of Oakland's "Blue Jay Killers" JOINED the Jays within the next 3-4 years. (Dave Parker down the stretch in 1991, and Rickey Henderson/Dave Stewart in 1993).

Thanks so much for posting. Do you have game 4 or 5 of this series as well?
