"Back" in 2014 I had canola on the east half of my home section that was up to my arm pits and I'm 6'0" tall with pods everywhere too. Ended up going 60. Usually I'm pretty happy if I get in the mid 40s. My wheat that year did 70, barley 100, oats 150, and flax 45. Everyone was getting yields like that up here but I think all over Saskatchewan it was like that. I didn't even bother trying to put oats in bins, I just had grain rings set up at the edge of the field or the tandems would never keep up. Prices were also a lot better then. I'll never expect another year like that again.

I get whats happening with that pulley bearing set up. Would this work: Get that aluminium pulley and machine a register on the inside of the rim and face down the spokes from the outside to the inside for a couple of inches. Then get a grinder and cut the unmachines portion of the spokes with a cut off wheel and discard the centre and the unmachine portion of the spokes. Get a biscuit of a suitable material, either steel or aluminium plate and machine outside so the pulley is a snug fit. Get hold of a wheel bearing assembly that is four stud, from a front drive car but use a rear wheel hub. They usually bolt to a sub frame. Drill and bore the disc to suit the wheel stud pattern making sure you have a register on the hub to centre it. Between the four studs, drill to accept the drive shaft from the header. Use the back of the hub bolt pattern to mount the whole assembly. I hope you get the idea. You may have to use a piece of aluminium maybe 1 1/2" thick so you can recess the wheel studs and nuts and get the driveshaft flange to bolt up. To secure the pulley to the plate, just drill holes thru the spoke into the plate. That is why you would need to face a short portion of the spokes. You can do a lot of work for $2200. A wheel bearing setup is designed to run without greasing and go for a long time. Hope you get the idea.

@@SouthSaskFarmer1 I guessed that much, I'm just wondering if it's one thing more than another?
I do enjoy your videos. If I was a farmer, I'd probably be a lot like you guys. Twan's a little dorky, but he's a good mechanic.

Doesn’t yield as good as the stuff in the states, combining in November or even later isn’t very appealing, more specialized equipment (can use air seeder but not ideal and if you do then you have to use a regular header to cut it), generally have to truck it farther than say wheat, pretty well have to have a grain dryer, can be a pain come spring time, just not quite good enough variety’s out for here yet. I’d say about 60-70% is grown for winter grazing cows. Prairie farm report has a good video on it if your interested
