That pond is making me wanna build a huge pond in my backyard, every time I watch one of your videos I get the energy to wanna build something like a 1000 to 2000 gallon pond and use my 150 gallon preformed pond I already have as a starting point. Like the pipe covered in vine, looks better for sure👍. Another Idea you could add some of your live plants that are in pots (leave them in the pots until you are ready to plant them, if that is the plan to add them eventually to that area, around the pipe ) to temporary spruce it up. Maybe could of spray painted the pipe the color of the dirt, to temporary camouflage the pipe. Can't wait to see the progress videos getting it done. And of course when it is done . They need to add Koi emojis 🐠🐟
My pond is at the back of the property behind the house. Madam Pele made the puka I just burned out the vines, dug out the mud and roots, and lined it. Lol. So no view from the house but the plan is to end my morning and evening feeding rounds at the pond and take my coffee or tea by it and enjoy it then. Like a little reward after the work is done.

So San Diego I believe had a gold rush after the 49ers. (San Francisco), And California being rich with gold history, a sluice box would be perfect to start your waterfall, you could have got rid of the pipe and then built a wooden sluice box for the water to run down..

The faux vine is a great idea!! A definite improvement. What ground cover did you use between your patio and the pond. It filled in beautifully!
