it actually didn’t take too long, just about… if i were to guess 8 or 10 hours or so for doing everything in relation to it and the animation itself pretty fast compared to some of my other stuff
maybe, i don’t think it’ll be really bad though, more just an alright experimentation chapter either way, it’s still gonna be good quality as Toby’s work always is

In this animation, Susie simply groans, wakes up, and realizes she's in the Dark World, making for an uncharacteristically uneventful sequence. Toby Fox always designs his stories tightly and never includes any sequence that doesn't fulfill some narrative function; this includes times when the POV character falls unconscious. In Undertale, upon falling into the dump at Waterfall, we experience a memory of meeting Asriel for the first time, before abruptly waking up, dropping an enticing plot hook to get us invested in the deeper narrative surrounding the Dreemurrs. In Deltarune, at the start of Chapter 2, we read dialogue which suggests that Toriel is about to be murdered, only to be hit with a fake-out twist that Toriel was merely upset about Kris eating all the pie. While a funny subversion in its own right, it also serves as the setup for a double subversion later on, as we are tricked into thinking that maybe Kris isn't as twisted as we were initially led to believe. So, in order to improve this bit, I would suggest replacing the simple groan with a short monologue that evokes some strong emotion. If you want to go for comedy, you could do a bit where Susie fantasizes about kissing Noelle, only for her to wake up and realize that the Annoying Dog is licking her face, and following it up with a comical over-the-top reaction. Alternatively, if you want to play the moment for drama, you could have Susie reminisce about her experience growing up in a broken home, her bitterness at her abusive and/or neglectful family, and the resolution she made to never open up to anyone ever again. Or, you can take an entirely different approach. Just whatever you do, don't let the player disengage and enter an idle mindset where they're simply waiting for the game to give them back control.

As I suggested earlier, we could have the Annoying Dog wake her up, she gets grossed out and instinctively swats the Annoying Dog away, causing it to fly through the air in a cartoonish fashion land off-screen to the right; if the player later walks to the right side of the room, they find that the dog has fallen into a conveniently-placed crate of dog treats and chew toys. Next, when Susie spots Kris, the first thing that she should do upon approaching them is ask "How the hell are you in your Dark World outfit?" before immediately realizing "Wait, how the hell am *I* in my Dark World outfit?!" She then tries to get Kris to wake up, but they're completely nonresponsive. After two very normal attempts to wake them up, she immediately resorts to drastic measures, lifting up one end of the couch and causing Kris to tumble onto the floor. She then comments on Kris' strange tendency to be completely dead to the world while they're asleep (which I think is a canon detail, but don't quote me on that). The above paragraphs are just a couple of suggestions for the sorts of shenanigans Susie might do when waking up in an unexpected location. Any gags that put Susie's bombastic nature front-and-center will do the trick.
