Muhammad, and variations of it, are some of the most common names in the world. While it may not be accurate to say it would cover the Middle East completely from start to finish, it would probably dominate the region. He wasn't being particularly racist by making that statement unless you're going to call slight exaggeration of the name's popularity as racism, which it's not.

It's so fascinating to me how, on the girl name map, every generation seemed to have its own set of names. The change in the entire top 10 from 1962-1970 is astounding. It showcases the transition from the Baby Boomers to Gen X.
*Timeline of the 1st map* *Not finished* The Marian Empire reigns as the dominant name in the country and has almost conquered Helen in the North and the Kingdom of Dorothy In the Northwest 1910 The Kingdom of Dorothy has been conquered by the Marian Empire. They are only 2 states away from becoming supreme name in the country. The Kingdom of Dorothy' s ideas are still alive in the Northwest and people are looking to reestablish the nation 1913 The Dorothy partisan movement springs up in South Dakota 1914 With only 2 states left for Helen the Dorothy partisan takes South Dakota while the Marian Empire takes North Dakota 1921 The Betty's rise up and start a revolution to bring the West of the country to them 1923 The Mary's launch a wide offensive on the Dorothy's and Betty's and the Betty's amost capititulate to the Mary's 1928 The Betty's are almost completely wiped out by the Mary's but they retreat to Oklahoma. That year also sees the Barbara's take up arms against the Marian Empire in the West 1932 The Betty's surrender to the Mary's in Oklahoma 1933 Multiple state, predominantly in the Northwest are tired of heavy taxation and poor treatment by the Marian Empire, leading to them joining the Shirley's which leads Great Shirlean uprising taking place 1935 This doesn't last for long though as they capitulate to the Mary's just 3 years later 1938 The Linda's promised to avenge the Shirley's and launch and uprising 1940 After slow expansion the Linda's have taken the entire West coast during off vital trade and supply routes on the Pacific which leads to a loss of resources for the Mary's 1944 Thanks to high propaganda investments by the Linda's, high taxation, and poor treatment by the Mary's, almost every state leave the Marian Empire to the Linda's. The Linda's take the title for the dominant name in the country 1947 After all most being defeated the Mary's launch an offensive on the Linda's 1950-1954 the Susan's also form a faction in Utah and move to the northeast 1950 Seeing this as a good opportunity the Debras launch a rebellion in the West. Mary's return to the title for dominant name in the country 1953 The peak of the Debra faction 1955 The Marian Empire have taken most of their states back. The Linda's in Nevada defect to the Lisas and form the Lisa resistance and begin rapid expansion 1960 The Lisa's become the dominant name in the country 1962 The Lisa's celebrate becoming the supreme name in the country, conquering every state. They declare the Lisa Federation 1965 The Michelle's in Colorado wants to take supreme name so they start a rebellion which gains popularity 1967 The Jennifer's in Utah want to create an empire and conquer North America so they revolt and the idea quickly gains major popularity. The Lisa's begin a rapid freefall 1969 The Jennifer's quickly take over 3/4 of the United States and the only ones left is the Melissa annd Angela faction who form an alliance to fight the Jennifer's 1971 Only 4 years after its foundation the Jennifarian Empire conquers the Melissa and Angela faction, making it supreme name in the country 1973-1979 Just as the Jennifarian Empire is planning to invade Canada, the Amanda's in the Southrest rise up to free the people that have been oppressed by the Jennifarian government 1979 The Jessica's also rise up in the Northeast and expand rapidly across the country 1980 The Ashleys then revolt, claiming to rule the country for themselves and expand rapidly. Rivaling the Jessica's 1983 The Jessica's and Ashleys overtake the Jennifer's and the Jessicans take the title for dominant name in the country, however it appears the Ashleys have more territory 1985 The last of the Jennifer's are wiped out 1986 After large expansion the Ashleys take the title for dominant name 1991 The Jessica's retake the dominant name. Several states in the Northeast declare Independence to the Emily's which spreads rapidly, starting the tripartite war between the Emily's, the Jessica's, and the Ashleys 1993 *Timeline of 2nd map* Empire of John rules the most of the country 1910 -1923 The Robert revolution begins 1914 After 11 years of bloody conflict the Roberts overthrow the John forming the Robert Empire 1924 As soon as the Roberts take power the James' declare war to try and take the power for their own but a stalemate immediately ensues 1924-1937 The James' break the stalemate and take Missouri, They immediately launch a full scale offensive into Robert territory 1937 After massive gains the James' become the dominant name and the Robert Empire falls into chaos and is severely weakened. The James' declare the James Union 1940 Over the years the Robert Empire suffers numerous rebellions while being eaten away by the James Union and smaller faction 1940-1950 The peak of the James union 1946 The David Rebellion begins 1949 The Michael rebellion begins. 1951 The James union, while still holding a big chunk of land in the South East lose the title of the dominant name thanks to the Michael revolution 1953 The Michaels and the Davids battle it out for the top in the Michael-David war while the James Union stays on the defensive and fortifies the border 1953-1967 The Davids launch an offensive and the country sees a large surge in Davids. 1958-1960 The Davids declare the Davidian Empire 1961 The Michaels launch a counter-offensive on the Davids 1963 Although still high in numbers the Davidian Empire capitulates to the Michaels and the Michaels conquer almost every state and faction except for the James union 1967 The Michaels try to become the supreme name over the country and launch an offensive on the James union 1967-1972 The Jasons in North Dakota are tired of poor treatment by the Michaels and peacefully declare independence but the Michaels declare war to take the state back Starting the Jason civilwar 1971 Numerous states declare they're joining the Jasons 1972 Christophers declare independence in Alabama but are quelled by the Michaels 1973-1975 then they declare independence again but are taken over by the James' 1977-1978 then become permanently independent in 1979 The Jason rebellion is quelled by the Michaels, ending the Jason civil war. The Jasons are imprisoned, executed, or sent to slave labour1981 The James' and the remaining Jasons, declare they're joining the Christophers in protest to the Iron fist-like ways the Michaels handled the Jasons, causing numerous states predominantly in the Southeast to join the Christophers 1982 The Michaels conquer several Cristopher states 1987 The Jacobs Launch a Rebellion. They declare the Jacob Resistance 1991 Williams declare independence in Tennessee and slowly expands throughout the Southeast 1996 With morale at an all-time low hundreds of thousands of Christophers defect to the Jacob Resistance, making them stronger and giving them more states 1996 The last of the Christophers are imprisoned or executed by the michaels 1998 The michaels finnaly fall and the Jacobs becomes the dominant name in the country 1999 The peak of the Jacob Resistance 2000 The Jacob Resistance slowly succumbs to smaller factions 2001-2013 The Ethan movement springs up in the Northwest. The Ethans and the Williams form an alliance to fight against the Jacobs 2002 The Ethans, the Williams, and other smaller factions fight against the Jacobs separately, weakening the Jacob resistance 2002-2009 The Jacobs Launch a large counter-offensive in the West 2010 taking alot of states back The Jacobs quickly run out of resources and retreat to the Southeast. A bunch of states in the Northern half of the country declare independence to the Masons 2011 The Masons don't last long as the Liams take over the Western half of the Masonic territory 2012 Despite holding almost no territory, Noahs take the title for the dominant name 2013 The Jacobs succumb to the Noahs. with no faction significantly dominant in territory the story is to be continued 2014 *Please like. This took me like an hour - probably more to do!*

I don't want my name to be popular doe. Not trying to be edgy. It's just too Americanized for ppls tastes, enough as it is, apparently. And for every next person who wants to sing that song, they prob genuinely think they're the first. They're not 🤦. I just want my name to be mine 🐩

Having lived in Texas my whole life. I know a fuck ton of Maria's. The year book is hilarious. Entire rows that have people with the same name, or different by only a few letters.... not just Maria either..
I think Linda entered the list in 1940 and dominated it by the mid-40s because the actress Linda Darnell became popular in film in 1940 and remained popular into the 50s. If you look closely, the first state "Linda" dominates is Utah in 1940, the same year Linda Darnell starred in Brigham Young, a movie about two mormon lovers during the time of the establishment of Mormonism in the 1840's. And the next state Linda dominates is California, that's Hollywood.

I'm surprised at how long James stuck around in the South. Even as Michael was dominating the rest of the country in the 60s and early 70s, James was still holding on in the Southern states.

What is the sudden spike of Linda in 1947? What cultural event happened to spike it?
yeah ik its a fucking linda revolution
"a fucking linda revolution" IM SCREAMING SJDIHJEIDHJKISJ
I think Linda entered the list in 1940 and dominated it by the mid-40s because the actress Linda Darnell became popular in film in 1940 and remained popular into the 50s. If you look closely, the first state "Linda" dominates is Utah in 1940, the same year Linda Darnell starred in Brigham Young, a movie about two mormon lovers during the time of the establishment of Mormonism in the 1840's. And the next state Linda dominates is California, that's Hollywood.
What about Jacob in the 1990s and 2000s?
