You hear Teddy Riley…the New Jack Movement was heard in about everyone’s tune back then. Teddy Riley was smoking with his music and the production he gave other singers, rappers and groups. Heavy D, he was an institution all himself. Brotha was k o o l!!! 😂👍🏽 So good hearing this again. I’m in college again w/this beat. Keep them coming. I just discovered your channel. I’m loving it. 👊🏽👍🏽
Teddy Riley didnt produce this...Eddie F produced this,,,he cofounded and was partner of the the group Heavy D and the Boyz.Eddie and Heavy D grew up as close friends in Mt Vernon. This does sound like a Teddy Riley production but back in those days everybody copied his style but Eddie went on to produce many acts including Donell Jones under his Untouchable Entertainment production team which included some notable producers at that time
This song was definitely a club favorite and believe me I know because the club was my second home. I forgot that Al collaborated with Heavy on this. Also please everyone keep Al B. Sure in your prayers. Last month I think it was he was released from the hospital after being in a coma for a month. He had lost tons of weight and looked pretty frail upon his release. Word on the street is someone tried to take him out. Anyone who follows Jaguar Wright knows who that someone is.
Stone cold classic. Fell in love with Heavy D & the Boyz after hearing Mr. Big Stuff. If I'm not mistaken this track is from Big Tyme which I think is their best work. Mega joints on that one. Shout out to Al B Sure! and DJ Eddie F. RIP Hev.
I've always banged with Al B Sures music. Underrated pen game in the industry, fire melodies. This is multi genre classic bruh. 87 baby lol. Peace great channel famo!
Yes, I STILL hear this on the radio. Heavy D and Al B. Sure! LOVE IT 🤗🤗😍😍
Heavy D, so underrated. Definitely, one of those dudes in his day. Heavy was always light on his feet for a big guy with much swag. RIP 🙏.
This was the jam when it came out that New jack Swing era was the shot
Yep...my favorite era of music !
Everytime I hear this I think of A Different World episode with Whitley acting up on stage at the end

Major jam back in the day when it came out!
Yes. Heavy D. RIP.
Another gem I enjoy from HD&TB, solid request, and equally solid reaction. R.I.P. Heavy D & Trouble T Roy...🙏🏼...
His beat maker was teddy Riley, they lived
On same block.

This is when rap was HIP HOP!! Fun days!!
I love Heavy’s music, but I was looking forward to seeing him in more movies. R.I.P. Gone too soon.

The 'New Jack Swing' was an interesting era for music.....but it didn't last too long.....I think 'gansta rap took over.....game over....
