Run the Power wires down the same side of the car that the battery is on, otherwise you are just adding unnecessary footage to your large wire. Don't drill unnecessary holes in your vehicle, use pre-existing holes and grounding points if possible. Don't scrape away more paint than is needed, your car's body is a grounding source, exposed metal should be minimized.
Yes it is but it's only 5volts not enough to penetrate wire shielding of either it's own let a long another one off a separate wire. Even if it did 5v doesn't carry enough to interfer....
Hi. I have reinstalled my system to my new car and my amp powers but no sound. I have a alpine MRP-M500 with 1 12 Kicker Comp VR. It worked in my other car which was a 2010 VW GTI. Now I have a 2014 VW Passat TSI SEL. Only thing different I did was put a cap, and now I have a different in line converter. It powered and heard bass for about 4 seconds and then distorted with the radio and then it shutoff. Now it won't work. The radio and everything works on the car just not the amp and sub. Amp shows its powered on. Meter shows 12 Volts. Sub seems intact. When it powers the Cap turns on and then the meter on the cap shows 12.34 then it shuts off. But I still show power from another meter. Can't figure it out. Maybe you can help me out. Tried calling your shop but you were closed. Thanks in advance!

RGB Reading I no your comment was three years ago but if you believe capacitors are a waste of time an money unless you have a compact car your an idiot cause I have an f150 ext cab an unless you know how to hook up subs or even bridge them the right way then you definitely dunno anything about subs cause I can certainly hear the difference In the sound of having a cap or just running an amp the tone in the bass of the sub sound way different when you have a cap on it your subs have a less tone when you just have an amp but when you have cap it has a deeper tone an beats harder if everything is hooked up right

He screwed that shit up he didn have to drill a new hole in that car there's a hole where the steering wheel is he could've ran power wire threw there
