“The greatest artists are the ones that notice” - Brakence
Fr was just gonna say this. The dude is on another level compared to newer and even older artists
@@Xpmett definitely one of the best of our generation
Hes a musical genius

"Good artists copy, Great artists steal" Pablo Picasso
"98% of all my flows are stolen"
Cause the greatest artists are the ones the notice 🔥🔥
Brakence is the god of glitchpop
he doesn’t even make glitchpop
he literally make glitchpop thoo@@SaltSpirits
@@SaltSpirits his spotify bio literally says "glitch pop perfectionist"
wrong, ericdoa
@@SaltSpirits hei s kind of his own thing i believe but that's how he describes himself
EDEN makes songs for the sad boi hours. Brakance makes song that scratch the itch on my brain.
People can copy his flows all they want, it wont hit the same because they overestimate the importance of the flow and production on Brakence's work. The reason brakence is the best artist(he is) is not just because of that, its because what he makes is true art. What he does is expressive and personal and nobody understands how to bring out the emotions you want to bring peoplr out like he does at the moment.
exactly
worst comment ever
@@cereal8193 you have the most braincells in Ohio
Honestly, and cause his whole album literally flows from one song to the next with no break inbetween it.
@@cereal8193elaborate?
Brakence and EDEN are different just because of not similar way of the sound. Their beats are absolutely different, take ICYMI and hypochondriac songs and see that the albums are different, the idea, the atmosphere, everything, only the way of sinning that I can listen to and it's not screaming or howl, that I can not understand. I love both of them, cuz the vibes of their last two albums are amazing
I mean that's after years of making music, brakence early work was very Eden inspired
no one ever compared their production, they compared their vocals, they have similar voices.
@saltspirits people most definitely compared their production early on, people literally thought Brakence was Eden's alt for a good while
@@boredguy5805 been a fan of EDEN since TEP's Jupiter release, almost a decade ago. Brakence gave me a sense of nostalgia of the transition between TEP and EDEN like Final Call EP, while having a vibe of vertigo as a final sprinkle with high notes of SYML's voice
@@SaltSpirits bro, listen to the hypochondriac album, where did eden do that crazy vocals? Eden is more peaceful and slow I think, brakence is crazier and more alive, but they both have amazing voices, especially Eden with his strong and loud vocal
Braden Ross is unique in his own way and totally discernible from brakence. Love his music sm
Yeah, also his vocal style is way different and his tools for expression. I think when it comes to art brakence is miles ahead but they're very different and both good. Braden is a bop
Braden ross is heat, definitly inspired but it sucks for him that so many people discredit his music by calling him a brakence clone. He gets so much hate on every social media i feel so bad for him.
@@Rowann1 not a clone but he ain't brakence tho, Impressive production but he's missing the emph
@@Rowann1as Braden’s friend, I have to say that this is so true
@@Rowann1 maybe he should’ve been inspired in ways that make his music less derivative of brakence than it currently is
This is a very thoughtful opinion and these guys definitely know about the scene too, gotta give props

@@3martyr hell yeah bro
@@jonathankirkpatrick9493 omg i know him
this version makes me ever sadder wow i didn’t think it was possible.
yall are talking about braden ross, i listen to a lot of brakence and braden ross does have a LOT of similarities but he does 100% put his own style into it, i can definitely see why people think he's a brakence clone cause it's the same granular glitchy kinda of production and same kind of singing style but braden ross is his own person and has his own style and backstory and if you look into it then it's clear he's not just a brakence clone but there is definitely inspiration from brakence there
nobody gives a shit about his personality or his backstory when they call him a clone, they’re explicitly talking about the sound of his music, which you just admitted to being derivative, meaning he is 100% a clone
@SaltSpirits he's not a clone 😭😭 the only similar thing is like, the production ONLY in some of his songs, most of his songs aren't even remotely close to brakence at all 😭😭😭 besides maybe the singing style but brakence didn't even start the trend of singing like he does, it was eden who did that and ppl call brakence an eden clone when they aren't even similar at all to me 😭😭 people are stupid as shit and will call anybody a clone of anything
@@gqvVnI’ve never heard his stuff, so I’m not gonna even comment on any similarities,
One thing I will say generally is when artists sound similar, it’s not always one copying the other,
Sure sometimes one will be inspired by the other but more often they have the same & similar influences
Listened to brakence for a couple years. Literally just found Braden Ross. And tbh and see no problem if he’s similar in ways to brakence because it’s like for me getting more music like brakence who I absolutely love so give me more lmaooo who give a damn a bout him being a “clone” whatever I’m here for the music. I love making music and singing so they are both wonderful artists to listen too.
This is a good take.
EDEN is my favorite artist of all time but Brakence is definitely up there, They have similar sounds but calling Brakence an EDEN clone is like calling any rock band a clone of any other rock band
Fax. EDEN is my favourite too but been getting into a bit of brakence since the Quadeca collab. I like his stuff, I definitely hear the influence EDEN has had on him but he's spun it into his own thing. As you should as an artist. There's a pretty clear difference betewwn their music. I'd describe EDEN's music as more "focused", wider/bigger and a little smoother, while brakence is more hard-hitting and in your face.
@@tobiasgreeeenCompletely agree. He may have started with influence from EDEN but if you go listen to ICYMI by EDEN and then Hypochondriac by Brakence you can definitely see how different they are especially with their new stuff! Both make absolute 🔥 tho that's for sure
Brakence in his earlier tracks had alot of simularities to edens songs from a few years back. Made me fall in love with him
Only song i didnt like was his new buggin’ the og was better imo
new fav podcast
brayden ross ❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
both Brakence and Braden Ross are great and unique in their own way, I listened to Braden before Brakence tbh (dont know how but it happened) I think it helped me get into Hyperpop for sure, have found a lot of great artists since then
brakence is in a league of his own, sorry
Id never heard of brakence till i saw this clip. Thank you guys!
Oh no someone making a genre that people have been complaining about not being popular, popular, what ever will we do
Very well put! 🙌
Braden Ross is fire
WHO CARES THE MUSIC IS HEAT
yall are so fucking real for this
what podcast is this?
a true artist will find their sound. a unique frequency. just like the universe
You could say the same thing about any other particular band of any other genre and say they weren't the first to make whatever their making
No one invented anything, everything evolves off each other
Brakence co-opted the hyperpop name. So did every other white boy who is rapping over glitchy beats. Hyperpop is a genre that was originated by the PC Music label and their peers back in 2011/2012. People like Sophie, AG Cook, Charli xcx, etc. It emerged from the same scene that created bands like Crystal Castles, and emerged off the back of the popularity of Witch House. Basically, it’s an entirely different genre that has nothing to do with Brakence or any of these other dudes (Eden, etc). I’m not sure why they use that name for this genre. I always side eye people that don’t know anything about “actual” hyperpop. RIP Sophie 💜
Na them clones are in a playlist on my Apple Music as (Unofficial Brakence till Next Album)
real
ID on that thermal?!
Huge EDEN fan since like 2015, started listening to brakence back in 2020 through a friend and I was like he’s alright. I only had heard a couple songs from him till hypochondriac dropped, and I didn’t even realize he sounded like EDEN. His acoustic versions of hypochondriac sounds a lot like EDEN, though, they fall into different genres as of today. Correct me if i’m wrong but EDM converted into Hyperpop imo, and that’s why I think they sound similar.
p.s. They also have quite similar sound to their voice, like they are the same color but with different shades
In a ama ages ago brakence said he was highly inspired by EDEN and his early work such a hypnogogia and others are very eden inspired
@@Eggbone yeah i heard something like that, tho brakence was inspired by many, probably heavily eden, but still, even eden isn’t what he was during the eden project or the spab project; and for brakence i can see he might’ve been inspired by eden’s work before EDEN
@@furkanyavuz5793 I'm not saying it's a bad thing I think it's really cool to look back on, when you look at the old brakence stuff it feels very derivative. Brakence is one of my favorite musicians and for me being able to see that is super inspiring, you do have a point about eden being different over the years and changing his style, the eden style brakence was inspired by seems to be a lot like the end credits/I forgot the album name but it has the song sex on it/vertigo phase, where those albums are decently similar compared to like edens newer 2 albums and older ones before those
since hypochondriac out he sound nothing like eden
Brakence and eden have similarities, but brakence's style has so many different elements that a lot of other artists (not eden) have jocked and tried to make their own music to. Essentially trying to reel in the same fan base.
i like the comments that are like oh brak doesn’t sound like eden. brak was so obviously an eden fan during his early work. the whole // thing he used was a direct copy of eden. plus now that i think about it i don’t think brak ever pitched up his vocals until eden released crash. sunder is probably brak’s best song he released before punk2 but it’s also one of his more heavily eden influenced songs. i don’t say this to shit on brak at all. i think hes probably the most talented artist i’ve ever discovered, but even his inspirations were extremely visible for a while. a lot of brak’s newer fans have no idea about how much brak used to get compared to eden. it was hella annoying. so now seeing other people call artist brak clones just makes me want to run my head into a wall. just shut up and enjoy the music.
In the wise words of Gabby Start
"y'know, we need to know what's good, so it's like, it's okay to copy, take what I've done and put it towards your shit" - stolen from thin air
whoa. somebody actually mentioned EDEN ? Is he like- big in this space or something..? somehow I didn't know that yet I love EDEN to death.
so true, erebody is making braden ross wanna quit which is sad cuz he's literally just tryna make brakence's form of hyperpop a genre, we need to embrace people making similar music. look at it as they're adding to a newer sub genre
Nothing wrong with inspiration I think the thing that pioneers & og listeners don’t like is when the newer generation of listeners enjoy something but have no idea of where the content stems from .
Yeah exactly, who cares is a great way to end that clip.
It's called hyperPOP and the whole point of the album was to show off his skills as a producer by mixing genres so effortly
I love keep it inside
eden is probably the only example where he didn't try copy anyone else, he quite literally created music in a style no one else was doing at the time and even said himself "no one really was doing the same thing I was".
Ive listened to a few of brakence tracks and listened to braden ross and he didnt copy much like everyone says
HE NEEDS TO DROP AGAIN OML ive been waiting for so long
Braden Ross admitted to stealing chords and Melodie’s from brakence
I’d j say braden and brakence are along the same genre
funny how brakence isn't even hyperpop, since hyperpop is a fake genre that relies on overproduction to cover up lack of skill. it's also dying, since all the most popular artists people thought of as hyperpop (glaive, ericdoa, Jane Remover, underscores, brakence) are moving on from it to actual good music
Brakence has a lot of "clones" cause they're people his age with similar influences too? Except brakence has this weird country twang in his singing too a lot of the clones AND eden dont have. But you guys are right. "A good artist borrows, a great artist steals."
strongly strongly disagree. and it’s less of hyper pop and more just his own thing mixed with who he looks up to
Proof not everyone should have a podcast
what?
bot
proof some comments need to be auto-deleted
Brakence sounds nothing like eden
In his earlier days he did but not anymore
he used too
Braden Ross is way unique and not at all a clone his music is better imo
yes he did invent singing
no way u just compared brakence to eden
Bro is hating hahaha brakence is a true musical genius no matter what he’s a true artist you should respect that and cherish the good ones he’s a good one
Oh dang ill pay for his sins 😏
brakence, hyperpop? nah
Don’t talk dookie on Braden Ross tho
Stop 😂
