    It must be so fun to being associated with the Trike Squadron. The Santa Ana River Trail was beautiful and I enjoyed seeing the horses and coyote. I'm surprised that the trail closure wasn't announced by a posting at the trailhead... Oh, well... Luckily the ride leader was knowledgeable of an alternate route. Thanks for taking us along today... Keep on Triking!

      We discovered afterwards that there were a few "detour" signs up but they were not very specific, the trail was still left open at the signs and they were facing away to the street entrances to the trail instead of toward people who were coming up the trail from where we started. So yes, they could have done a much better job of letting people know. Thankfully once we turned around it was not too hard to figure out the detour and we had a few riders who were familiar with the streets there. ;-)

      Yes, that would wasn’t the clearest signage for people on the trail. We managed.

    I too am happy to see Glenn out on his trike! He was instrumental, as you were too Sylvia, to my wanting to get my Catrike. What a nice ride you all had! I am interested in how many riders are using motors on their trikes? I try to pay attention and notice, and to decide if a motor would be right for me or not. I know it would make longer rides more a possibility, and I wouldn't have to worry about slowing a ride down. Maybe you could put that info into your videos, for me and any others still on the fence about "electrifying". Have fun!

      I have found e-assist to be a great equalizer. For me, my biggest hesitation was opening my wallet. E-assist has opened up for more cycling opportunities than I had without it. Take care!

      Thanks, Dave! Is it hot enough for you? Everywhere I've been since Palm Springs has been super windy, like 30-50 mph almost every day. Yipes!!

      @@TravelsByTrike seems we are having more “wind” this spring than “normal”… which reminds me of growing up in Oklahoma where the “wind” is normal.

    I *think* that is the A3 Aluminum-Alleweder. A4 went with a tail cone with a smaller rear wheel. I still have a bunch of aircraft aluminum leftover from building my Bearhawk (size of a Cessna 182). Plane long since sold, but these days never have enough time for all my projects as I just want to get out there and ride!

    It's nice to see Glen again, he inspired me to get my first trike years ago, a Trident stowaway.

    isn't there a wild mustang ranch there? My dad and step mother took me out there once in mid 90's

    • @TravelsByTrike
      @TravelsByTrike  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I heard the same but didn’t see the mustang ranch. There’s a state park nearby that has horse camping.

    So awesome! I got to ride with the Squadron years ago. Great to see you guys still getting it done. Very cool. I am asking because I don't know: I saw a shadow on the ground: your arm with a pole and a camera on top, but I didi not see a pole in your hand. Please explain this apparent tricycle voodoo you are using. How is that done? Does the camera erase itself from the video somehow? Please advise. Thanks for posting.

      Thanks, David! Yes, I using an Inst360 one X2 camera on an invisible stick. The stick comes with the camera pack. It's a great camera. Enjoy!

      There’s a group out of Murfreesboro that seems to be active. I think they have a fb page.
