The best way to save money at Aldi's, is to not buy processed foods. Fresh produce and sales on meat is the way to go!!😊
You are right. I only buy fresh produce, butter and at times nuts; cheaper than Walmart. I used to buy their bread, but it smells nasty now, so I bake my own.

Good Morning Danno and Jess! I went into my ALDIs this week and products no longer being offered, stock was low, prices so much higher. Went to a Lidl’s nearby and stock and prices were much better. Met a German woman who shop’s Lidl’s and not Aldis
Danno, the apple shaped chocolates said it has coconut. A good trick when checking ingredient lists for allergens is that the allergens are always listed at the bottom in bold. The specific pack you showed said, CONTAINS: WHEAT, MILK, SOY, TREE NUTS (COCONUT, ALMOND). Stay safe with those allergens 😊
I was hoping you would go to Aldi's again soon, so I am happy to see this video. Love the bread and bakery items as they are always fresh and a good price. Love all those pumpkin items too. Thanks Danno!

I was told at Aldi’s by the cashier that the Oyster Crackers are seasonal! It’s not soup season in the summer according to cashier.

Well, we did it. We went dumpster diving again. I have watched so many yt divers over the years and finally started it. The waste of food is a sin. Today I picked up 80 pounds of boneless chicken breast with a best buy/use buy date of Sept 10th and they were all very cold packages. What was the reason to throw that away? It's not recalled. Tomorrow, I will be canning 80 pints of boneless chicken breast for the pantry. If I had room in my fridge, I would have taken more. Imagine ALL the people that dumpster could feed, but now it's just going to the landfills. Those chickens gave their life. That's a sin.
In my area, we have Flashfoods… your chicken might have been placed in Flash foods for a quarter of the price. I once did 23 pints of beef for $9.13!

Great video as always Danno !! Normally I watch your aldi video and I get a bit sad . I'm out west and closest Aldi is at least 5 to 6 hours away. This time not only am I super excited about your aldi tour I can't wait to share ot with my husband! He travels for work and this time he is 15 mins from aldis ! He told me send him a list of what I want from aldi I'm just sending him videos! If anyone wants to help a sister out please message aldi and let them know the west coast needs aldi in Sacramento and reno! Last time I was in aldi the cashier mentioned how people come down from Oregon to Fresno to stock up ! Again great video hope yall had a wonderful labor day weekend!
Traveling and a few states on the west coast do not have Aldi. I miss shopping there!!
Another thing I found was that unless Walmart is a “Super Center” they do not carry fresh fruits and vegetables!!!
@@trishaporte I know your struggle and you have my sympathy. You're absolutely right ! Not a lot of states out west have Aldi . As of now south California and Arizona have aldi there is 1 coming to Las Vegas soon . If you can't find a super center see if there is a grocery outlet or winco around . Great produce great prices safe travels

Really like Aldi. Some of the items have gone up. Usually busy when I visit. A lot of different food items to choice from.

@@mayapapaya77 yes that's What my husband said, thankfully we have a lady nearby with free range chick's, we get from her for $2 or we barter with our garden vegetables and fruit.
ALDIs is still king on price with all their bread products! I did notice lower inventory in my latest visit + their can goods have gone up quite a bit . So - when I go - I only get certain items now.
The crusty loafs of sour dough and Italian are great. And they look hand made/free formed...perfect for sandwiches.

Amazing the amount of processed food
The large eggs always look more like small eggs,and the go up and down. Their mayo and condiment prices are better than anywhere else especially on Duke's mayo.
I have noticed a lot of price drops at ALDI. I continue to go there as my first choice for all of the basic items. Even something like milk is over a dollar cheaper compared to Kroger stores. Same thing for creamers, bagged lettuce, and those crackers you pointed out. By the way, those BENTON'S cookies (esp. the chocolate chip) are wonderful. Also, the loaf sized sour dough and Italian bread are good too. The crust is done right.
I was disappointed to discover the Peanut Delight peanut butter's peanut oil was extracted and replaced with inflammatory seed oils ( rapeseed, cottonseed and soybean )
Wow! Their coffee creamer used to be 99cents!
Aldi is my main grocery shopping place. I’ve had great success in lowering my grocery bills with Aldi.
If you like Kombucha, the one at Aldi is really good. And the coconut cashew crisps are really good too.
We are very fortunate that we have Aldi, Lidl, Food Lion and Walmart all within one block of each other.

The PRICED AS MARKED is reserved for packaging of meat with varying weight where it is SOLD BY THE POUND. The pre-proportioned meat in one pound packages has fixed shelf prices. FYI. @Adventires with Danno. For instance, the weight of the salmon and pork slices and chicken varies but the one pound beef patties are fixed price and weight.
Glad you decided not to get those candy apple thingies. It did have coconut in it.
Went to Walmart Tuesday here in Texas and the 18 count large eggs were $5.79! Dear lord, have mercy on us!! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

Wal***t 60 ct box of large eggs are now 18.28. 1st week of August they were 10.32. In 4 weeks they went up that much.

Ritz are not the best butter rounds to be compared to. They used to be top notch. But, they are, now, crumbly junk. Ritz costs so much now. But, I prefer the $1.25 version, sold at Dollar Tree, over present-day Ritz.
I agree about too crumbly 😮 I replaced my Ritz with our family fav Town House original 😊
Are we going to ignore the shrink flation though? Prices mean nothing without discussing that (sizes, quantity, etc).
11:19 wm has a olive garden italian dressing dupe as well by GV, called the same thing "restaurant style" italian is what its called in a green bottle... 16oz 1.97 you should try it... i buy it regularly
I've read that Walmart does not use any GMO in their GV products. Studied GMO's at University; not good to put in your body.

Some things from Aldi are great quality but others are so horrible and the produce aisle at my local one is a hot mess. Plus the cashiers absolutely don’t like it when I have a large cart filled up with products because I slow up their line. But as a large family, we need a full cart weekly lol so I don’t have a choice. I’m not rich enough to get my stuff delivered.
I know what you mean. My local Aldi added self checkouts and 1 regular, so no one sighs or complains anymore. It shouldn't make a difference to the cashier though, if you think about it. I usually avoid the produce, I picked up a bag of cherries and it leaked out juice onto the floor! Sometimes I will buy a package of cole slaw. The bread does not smell good to me, the dates are always close to expiration. I just stick with what my family will eat.
Was just at Aldi today and got a careful. The checkers at our store are really friendly and nice. Don't seem to care how much you buy. As for their products, I have found very little that I don't mind.

Our produce section is the same, always a mess and old dried out wilted produce. I don't by that from them except the occasional broccoli and that's it. No milk either, it has went bad for me twice, way before the expiration date, and their cheese is bland too.
That’s what I do ! Just fresh vegetables and salad items ! Pasture raised eggs

The pumpkin and apple shaped chocolates are excellent. They are those shapes only- the flavors of chocolate are listed on the package and melt in your mouth, but extremely rich. They are similar to the chocolate seashells they have at Christmas. But read that package back. I saw coconut listed in "May be exposed to it in manufacturing. "
The answer to this problem has been right in front of us the whole time. Joy! Only more joy was needed. Let's fix it NOW!

Actually, I was very surprised the first time that I ever had Pumpkin soup. It did not taste like Pumpkin. It tasted like Butternut Squash. So, the pasta sauce more than likely does too. I will try it sometime. If you like Butternut Squash, you should like it.
Might not work for Danno, but if it takes like heaven (aka Butternut Squash), then it's worth a try.

I got banana bread at Aldi I’ve bought for years when I went to open a new box. There was only four slices instead of the usual five so now the bakeries section at Aldi’s is downsizing I would stop.

Well yeah it forces to rethink your eating habits. My cheaper breakfast is like Oats with frozen berries (unfrozen over night) with warm or hot water and 2 boiled eggs.

Maybe the prices aren’t too crazy, but lower cost items seem discontinued (ex baloney, large bags of potatoes) and packages are shrinking.
I prefer Lidl over Aldi's, but Lidl closed lots of their stores in this area. Lidl, another German grocery chain, carries brands other than just their own, unlike Aldi's does. Aldi's is not a bad chain, though.
Any low fat products like light mayo? Any gluten free products? They use to carry it but I don't see it any more. I know Walmart carries it though.

Good thing you put those apple things back because there was a coconut warning in the parenthesis on that label. Sad to see the bagged salad go up to $3.19, they used to be $2.89. I’ve been more fond of the organic spring mixes lately anyway since the quality of the bagged salads has really gone downhill in almost every store I visit.
Grow and make your own until we can get a President that will make it against the LAW for manufacturers to raise prices on food. Personally, Im tired of buying overpriced food items, paying more for less is not cool.

Aldi is kinda new to me to shop at. What's your opinion on Lidl, kinda like Aldi, and is German based as well.
I have been a Lidl once on a trip. It is only in east coast type states. I liked it a lot when I was there. If I had one here in Southern Indiana, I would definately add it to my shopping cycle.

All i see is processed foods made with GMO flours and hydrogenated oils. When they say organic what they really mean is the way it used be done, before the food industrial complex..
