“Lil coonk hurt” 😂 this brings back memories of when my first cycle came. I woke up in middle of the night and found out, my mom drove me to the nearest 7/11 and bought pads lol. Chile I was 12 years old. Next day she bought me a “period book” and that’s how I learned. Can’t wait until I can really sit down and talk to my daughter and prepare her for what’s to come.
I got mines on Christmas. I didn't tell nobody for three months and the only reason my mother found out was because she wouldn't get out the bathroom. She hit me with "girl we got the same thang... And I got more ain't nobody thinking about you." Then I told her and she got out... Later that day she came in with a plate of Chinese food and said something like, well you know you can get pregnant now? Then left out.
I'm happy I sat down with my daughter and talk to her even got on the laptop and gave her a visual. I wasn't prepared when I started mine at 12. Thank God I prepared her because she started at 10.
This was a real cute movie. I am sure a lot of us can relate especially if you lost your mother early. I appreciate the dad trying to help & being so understanding.
The way I was excited to get my cycle. I told everyone and thankfully I got it at home 😌 but my excitement turned into anger real quick after a few more periods 🤣🤣. Women are the real strong onesss!!!
This was good! I was terrified of getting my period because in a society where girls, especially black girls, are hyper sexualized I felt getting my period would mean that I couldn’t be a little girl anymore. I did not tell anyone for a couple of days and finally i told my mother. The whole experience was one of the most traumatic experiences I have gone through. This move was actually a little therapeutic for me being able to laugh at the experience.
I'm so glad she told her dad that irregardless isn't a word 😂 Her dad was such a sweetheart about it. 🥺🧡 When mine first arrived, I had the school call my mom to come and pick me up and bring me home. The cramps were just too much for me to sit in class. She was annoyed because she felt that she had prepared me for it. She did. But there was no way she could prepare me for the pain. So, she came and got me.
I remember I wanted my period to come on so bad when all the other girls started getting theirs. And when it finally came on I was like oh hell no take this shit back😂😂 that’s sweet that her dad was so supportive though. My daddy was the same way 🥹💕
I wasn’t excited to get my period and I was at school when I got my first period. So I had to go to the nurse who called my mom and then I went home. Oh, and I definitely used pads. I was scared to use tampons at first! 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️😂😂😂
I really enjoyed this one! Poor thing lost most of her little hairs because of some rust 😂! I never wanted mine to come on and it happened on a school field trip thank goodness my cousin was with me she saved me from total embarrassment!
I remember when I first started mine, my mom bought me some pads with wings but with it being my first time I didn't put it on right and when I had to take it off, let's just say I felt sis at 7:38

Got to stay from school and go have lunch with her and my Dad 🥰 She was the best 🥺❤️ And I never liked it and still don't 😩🤣 Now I have a daughter and I told her about it when she was 8. That shit is humiliating!! And the worst part is your fake friends not saying anything to you! I’ll never forget coming home from school, taking off my pants and freezing at the sight of an egg sized bloodstain on the middle of the butt of my pants😭😭 I walked 20 minutes from school, I’m sure people driving by were laughing at me😭😭
LMAOOOO BROOOO I had an older friend and she started her period and I also thought it was so damn cool. I wanna wear pads, I wanna be a woman. BITCH BYE! lol that shit sucks. I don't think ANYONE bleeds through their clothes the first time they start cause it's not even blood it's just light brown stuff and it's barely there. I wanted it bad! lmao 😂 I was 12, and I remember being so jealous of my best friend cause she got hers before me. There’s something so unsettling about not knowing exactly when you’ll get it. I used to pray every night. I ended up getting mine like two months after my friend. I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to brag to my other friends that hadn’t gotten theirs. But baybaaaayy, once I felt cramps for the first time, it wasn’t all fun and games anymore. Return to sender 😭
Needed this movie night; my period just started today. Women honestly go through so much with their reproductive systems that men don’t even have to worry about. Periods are not exciting because mine normally start with cramps. Mine came on for the first time randomly when I was younger, so I told my mom; my mom cried that day because she knew I was growing up.
I know exactly how she felt. I kept reading the little booklet too, the one that came with my period kit. Thank God for that little kit. I carried that kit for 2 whole years before I would actually need it. I was not exactly excited about it. I just wanted to be ready when it did come. I had pads on deck. Mine came on in the grocery store. I started cramping in the dairy section, between the soy milk and the cheese. I did not have a single pad with me, but I did have my mom.
My dad made it sooo awkward and we didn’t really talk about it. I got my period at his house and he made it a very big deal but he just held me and we didn’t talk about it at all. But I could tell he told my mom when I got back to her house we had a LONG conversation
This movie night was just in time for Father's Day. My dad was actually the first person to know I started my first period. It happened while I was out attending an event at a Theatre (the one where they perform plays). Luckily one of my dad's friends was carrying pads in her purse. It's crazy and funny tho cuz the first time I ever changed my pad was in a car, in the dim lit parking lot lol. This film also reminds me of all those times my dad would pick me up some pads from the store when I wasn't able to. Dads don't get enough credit for the little things they do, especially if they're a single parent taking care of their daughter. I love him so much 🥺😭
Period ain’t no joke like the cramps ain’t it 🤧so I was not excited to be on mines cuz the cramps and cramps just ughh but I’m glad you posted zo ❤️love to watch you
Mine made me throw up and get cold sweats if i didn’t take pain meds soon enough. Worst part is having a mom who thinks you’re being dramatic because she never experienced painful cramps herself
Lol- this had me tickled. Heck I didn’t even know what a period was… I’m adopted and barely spoke English.. so when mine came I was upstairs and my adopted mother was downstairs.. I wiped and thought I was dying and ran downstairs with my pants down and was trying to explain to her that I’m dying.. she looked down and busted out laughing.. I didn’t understand what was going on. Then she helped me get cleaned and all was good. Still alive and kicking today. The best mom anyone could ask for.💕
As a 22 year old , I used to be on birth control which stopped my periods, it was cool and all but I felt that i should let my body do it’s natural thing. Since I started having periods again, I look forward to my cycle and it’s not before I’m active but because it’s truly a special thing and I didn’t realize that until recently!
I love how the daddy was giving her the space she needed at that time, when I started my cycle I was eager & excited for it to come. I threw up every cycle for the first 2-3 days from terrible cramps & it was heavy. See you later Zoe 🫶🏽🥰
Was excited to get mine, got it, ended up in the hospital repeatedly, hated it 😂 it wasn't awkward though, aside from my mother yelling it out loud in front of everyone. I prefer pads. This was a cute film😂.
Sameeeeeeee! I was having trouble walking and all. Then my OBGYN put me on birth control so my cycle can be normal again. And here I am 15 years old and I’m fine!
@@jahnyxo because I couldn’t walk, when I put on the overnight pads I would have to change them ever 15 minutes because they would be full, when I would eat it would come back up, I couldn’t sleep, my grades started to drop cause I couldn’t focus in school cause the pain was so bad. And I had tried everything, I even put myself on strict diets and when I seen my OBGYN she was shook cause she had never seen that happen to someone my age😭
@@zoriahooper5721 if don't mind me asking do u still experience this wen u get on ur cycle every month n did the doctors ever find out why it was happening .... If this is to personal u don't have too understand appreciate it sis
I surprisingly first got mine literally the day after we learned about it in health class. I had pamphlets and everything but I was still mortified 😂 shit caught me off guard
Lmao that is awful I don't mean to laugh. Thank goodness you had pamphlets. I know I was shocked as hell myself when I first started like wtf is this in my panties 😳 😂😂
I was 12, and very excited! I told my mom immediately, and she was excited too. That was the 90's and I took Stepping Stones class which taught us about puberty, so I knew what to do. I will make sure to celebrate and educate my daughter when her time comes.
Zoieeeeeeeee 🤣🤣🤣 I am crying literal tears laughing at you. I’m in MS and it’s close to midnight here. Everyone is asleep, including my husband who’s lying right next to me. So I’m crying and my stomach is hurting bc I’m trying not to cackle and scare the hell outta him 🤣🤣🤣 THANK YOU!!!!!
This is what most young girls go through and she was so looking forward to starting hers because to her it means she was on her first step to becoming a woman and men usually leave this time in their daughter's life to be discussed with their mom but i feel that men should take the time to take a course in how to speak to their daughter about this time in their development, it will also bring the two closer together because it is a new phase and it will show his daughter that he understands what she is experiencing
Yeah I agree! my older brother was rly helpful when I got mines,he didn’t make it seem like the most disgusting thing in the world .he told me the things he learned in sex & health education,so I can know what to expect from my future cycles.
I was so excited to get mine but I was a late bloomer and all my friends got their period so I felt so left out that I cried... lol eventually I got it randomly in the 7th grade (high school in the Caribbean) and my life changed for the worst 🙃
Oh good gawd… I don’t have any kids but my boy has a daughter and he, I, her, her best friend, my girlfriend and her son were at the county fair years ago. We all got off one ride and she just happened to be wearing white pants. She got my attention and just looked down… I knew right then what happened. Quickly wrapped my jacket around her, got my girl’s attention and gave her that look and subtly said “umm… woman problem”. She took charge and thanked me for not making her feel awkward and being discreet about it. My boy wasn’t so smooth about it. Lol. “WHERE SHE TAKING HER? WHY YOUR JACKET WRAPPED AROUND HER LIKE THAT? WHERE THE FUCK THEY GOING?” He wasn’t ready for his little girl to be a woman yet…
That was cute! I was pretty excited! Read the books and everything. I started in class, my friend leant me her jacket, and my dad called my mama and every woman in the family for help😂 I will forever remember that!
Times like this, makes me realize that I was blessed to have all sisters and my mom❤️ I was fortunately at home in my room, I yelled for my mom and freaking out. My dad was trying to peek in (mom was standing in the doorway) and she told him to go back to their room 😆 🤣
When my period came on, I was nervous and scared lol, I told my mom first because I felt more comfortable telling her but when I told her she comfort me and told me about what was a “period”, and ever sense I got more comfortable with it and know what to do when it comes on, but zo I love watching u 😂, made me laugh during the whole video. Edit: But them cramps ain’t no joke ‼️
My mom taught me from when I was 8 about my period and I had everything I needed when it started when I was 10 and she gave me a card with 100$ and took me out for dinner 😅😅😅😅. That was a good day for me
What a great movie I was mortified when I started my periods I didn't want anyone to know it was so embarrassing but my daughter on the other hand was so happy she couldn't wait to tell everybody and I think that's the right way for girls to be be proud of you period nothing to be embarrassed about 😊
I loved this short film so much, I was trying so hard not to laugh because my baby is sleeping. I was nervous about getting my first period but I still told my mom when I first got it. I told my mom first because we had already had the talk about it.
This one really hits home lol I was a late bloomer & all of my friends had got it way before me..Didn’t get mine until 16! 🤦🏾♀️ My mama had made me a “hygiene bag” that I kept in my locker and all of my lil friends used my shit cause I couldn’t 😂 I was so press when I got mine!!!
I was excited for my first period!Everyone else in my friend group had started theirs and were wearing real bras. I hadn’t started mine and I still wore the camis with the bra built in😂 I felt so proud, like I officially earned my first badge of honor as a woman. SN: started with pads, to tampons, to adult diapers/pads sometimes ( don’t judge me it works).
Awww I love the part where he comes home with pads and tries to do the lil game they do before bed and they’re apprehensive about it. It’s like she instantly grew up and part of him knew his lil girl wasn’t so lil anymore. Awwwww 😭
Thanks for the upload 👍🏽 I really appreciate these. I love how “80’s” this movie is, even down to the whole drinking milk with your dinner (which I always thought was so gross, but tuna…???)
Love watching these on my lunch break as a girl you be waiting for it. like you feel out of place if your the last person to get one. Lol love this film brought back memories
I got mine when i was 8. The gag is I didn't even know I had it until I realized I was bleeding down there I woke my mom up and was like " mom i'm bleeding down there" and she helped me get adjusted. The next day my cramps hurt so bad I was like Jesus why me lol.
I actually was excited when I got mine. I literally cried when my sisters and cousin got it before me 😵💫...but I EASILY regretted wanting it after getting it 😂😂
I may be the only one in the comment section that don't get a period.....ANYMORE. I first got it when was 13 on Mother's Day, and it stopped when I was 15 and never came back. But the 2 yrs I did have it was excruciating pain, so I do NOT miss it. I still ovulate so that is how I was able to have 5 children. Went to many specialist and they said I am perfectly healthy and I am just one in some hundred of thousands of women who don't bleed.
I was so scared when I got mine I was at home by myself and my mom was at work and she bought pads for me and showed me how to use them, I was so confused and didn’t understand why it was happening to me. I wasn’t excited at all 😭
I told my mom and I was so scared. like what the hell is going on with me. like what's this. I most definitely was not ready for it at all. love you zo this was so funny.
WAIIITT!! I laughed just as hard when she realized it was rust. 🤣🤣 That was just the universe saying girl stop trying to grow up so fast! 😌

Mine made me throw up and get cold sweats if i didn’t take pain meds soon enough. Worst part is having a mom who thinks you’re being dramatic because she never experienced painful cramps herself
@@AA-yc9dq yes exactly
Omg I thought something was wrong with me, smh I still throw up on my cycle and even get nauseous till this day
woww I thought my body was just doing a lot, but that throw up and cramp combo was the worstt
I thought I was the only one who threw up and had horrible cramps. I literally throw up every month
When Zo got an ad, I got one too😂🤦🏽♀️.
Me too 💀💀
Was excited to get mine, got it, ended up in the hospital repeatedly, hated it 😂 it wasn't awkward though, aside from my mother yelling it out loud in front of everyone. I prefer pads.
This was a cute film😂.
Sameeeeeeee! I was having trouble walking and all. Then my OBGYN put me on birth control so my cycle can be normal again. And here I am 15 years old and I’m fine!
hol awn.. why were you hospitalized? if you don't mind sharing
@@zoriahooper5721 I tried the birth control pill, but eventually it started to wear off, so they had to put me on the shot.
Okayyy cuz it’s a 100+ degrees EVERYDAY in Houston and it’s ridiculous🤦🏾♀️💯 but love the video 😂💯
Me too i went to the bathroom at school and i came on lol
I was 12, and very excited! I told my mom immediately, and she was excited too. That was the 90's and I took Stepping Stones class which taught us about puberty, so I knew what to do. I will make sure to celebrate and educate my daughter when her time comes.
Not the pubic hair count behind the poster 😩😂😩😂
I like this short film. You’ve been discovering some really good ones back to back lately!🙌🏽🥳🥰
I'm so glad you liked it! we had an awesome time making the movie.
This was really cute! I truly loved the way Dad was portrayed ❤️
it was the chocolate part for me , “nibbling” 😂😂😂
I had no idea what a period was! I was 10 and innocent 😩 I was beyond shook
That’s scary. I feel around 8 girls should get the period talk so they aren’t shook when they get them 😩
@@mscarolineelyse that would have been nice! I think my parents assumed I had more time before they had to break the news to me 😂
Hell no I wasn’t excited 🤣🤣. I was pissed 😂😂. I was like damn now I’m really growing up 😂
Oh lord this is hilarious! I am cackling !!!!!! It’s when she erased those tally marks after she ripped that pad off 😭😭💀💀
Hey Kim! This is Debra, the director and writer. I'm so happy you got a laugh!
She was so excited to get it. I cried all day when I got mine. I still don’t want it at my big age. Lol 😂
You don’t know how happy I got seeing your video pop up! Just what I needed 👌🏾💯🔥
That was a good day for me
Yas you have a great mama 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️ so aware, loving & caring❤️
Started at 10?👀 I got mine 13 turning 14 am I a late bloomer cuhz every other comment girls were like 9 10 when startting
This was hilarious Zo I swear I can hang around you everyday you are a mood 🤣🤣
I’m still watching mid way but I love their nightly routine. Dad is 💯
Hi what is the show or movie name?
@@rukhumalo3804 really?
This was such a good movie to watch! I was living with my dad when my cycle started. I told him and he called all my aunties to come help.
I wish I could watch in person with him tbh 🥰🥰🥰
I’ve been binging older movie nights and I’m hookeddddddddd
This has made my night ❤
What a great movie I was mortified when I started my periods I didn't want anyone to know it was so embarrassing but my daughter on the other hand was so happy she couldn't wait to tell everybody and I think that's the right way for girls to be be proud of you period nothing to be embarrassed about 😊
Thank you for saying that! I'm the writer/director of the film and it's so cool it's on his platform!
It's that happy "yes!" For me 😂
I loved this short film so much, I was trying so hard not to laugh because my baby is sleeping. I was nervous about getting my first period but I still told my mom when I first got it. I told my mom first because we had already had the talk about it.
This one really hits home lol
I was a late bloomer & all of my friends had got it way before me..Didn’t get mine until 16! 🤦🏾♀️
My mama had made me a “hygiene bag” that I kept in my locker and all of my lil friends used my shit cause I couldn’t 😂
I was so press when I got mine!!!
I love Zoe's laugh 😂😂💕
Awww I love the part where he comes home with pads and tries to do the lil game they do before bed and they’re apprehensive about it. It’s like she instantly grew up and part of him knew his lil girl wasn’t so lil anymore. Awwwww 😭
Yayyyyyyyy! A new flick 😍 thanks ❤ always love your comments ❤ 💕 💖
sis was almost as mad as suzie when she found out peppa can whistle 😂😂😂😂😂😂
This literally made my night I was so not in the mood before you dropped at the right time😂😂this one was good
OMG……a lil rust??? I am screaming!!! No!! I can’t stop laughing!! 😂😂😂😂 #MovieNight #MovieNightWithZo
Thanks for the upload 👍🏽 I really appreciate these. I love how “80’s” this movie is, even down to the whole drinking milk with your dinner (which I always thought was so gross, but tuna…???)
Man u make my life so much better like I can set all day watching ur videos and laugh ugh I can die in peace now
Zoe is the best his laugh is contagious!!!
OMG, the lil pubic hairs is gone!! Lol I am crying laughing!! Zo, you are a mess!! #MovieNight #MovieNightWithZo
I did not want my period 🙄 but I told my sisters first and then went on about my business. This was definitely a god ke ke 😂😂😂
Zoie you are ruthless for laughing at her 😂😂😂
Zo you spoiling me lol. I feel like you know my schedule. Every time I sat down to eat here you are with another one🥰🥰🥰
Not Vivian counting how many roses in her bush 😷🤢🤣🤣
I actually was excited when I got mine. I literally cried when my sisters and cousin got it before me 😵💫...but I EASILY regretted wanting it after getting it 😂😂
This movie night was hilarious 😂 and Zoe's commentary was hilarious too! 😂😅🤣😂😄
Zo I needed this laugh 😂😂😂😂 I love your movie nights!
I wasn’t excited at all 😭
The fact the he didn’t stop laughing at that one scene is killing me 😂😂😂😂😂
I told my mom and I was so scared. like what the hell is going on with me. like what's this. I most definitely was not ready for it at all. love you zo this was so funny.
