I followed your steps one by one and I see it on my desktop, but no sound is coming out at all. What am I doing wrong? Also, what audio program can I download that you mentioned I could use to record? I do not see a link for that.

@@houseoftechenglish thanks. But after doing further research. I found that there’s a pre-amp gadget called iRig that can be hooked up with this mic to make it work with a smart phone. But the mic has to have the 3 pin XLR cable version which Maono has.

You can download Audacity, and once you open it you have to select Maono mic as input. It will work.

Is it good even with the issues regarding the firmware, sensitivty and chipset? Some are saying its muffled when close to the user, has it been fixed?
I haven't faced any issue till now, but yes if you want to record properly then you have to keep a normal distance from mic.

If you have audio interface then go with AU-A03

Can't recommend for cover songs. But, if your budget is tight, you can give it a shot. Make sure you mix and master it in post properly.
