HAHAHAHAHA!!! I actually thought it said, "Remove old tail light & install new tail light."
Very funny. I laughed my ass off when he said Wonderful.
Very informative. We definitely need more videos like this. I myself have a 650 and "need" to replace fender and add a hugger, maybe even replace stock headlights (way too dim for my tastes) with HID.
    Thanks a lot, man.

I still don't understand how the resistor wiring is done. Looks like the resistors are used as a kind of bypass wiring to the turn signals?

@jermwhl how easy was it to replace your handle bar with clip ons?

Great video - thanks! I have a question, though: at 8:47 you show how you wired the resistors into the yellow turn signal wire, and that's where I got really confused. It *looks* like the top end of the resistor was connected to both the yellow turn-signal wire and the green (hot) wire coming out of the connector, and the bottom end of the resistor was connected to two black and yellow ground wires (one out of the connector, and the other long and as-yet unstripped). Have I got that right? Just to verify: does that long, unstripped black and yellow ground wire get connected to the bike's frame? Thanks for any help you can give to clarify this for me!

Well, got no reply from jermwhl, so after much hand-wringing and procrastination, I went ahead with the procedure...and it worked! I didn't cut off the replacement unit's connection plug, but kept it intact, and used it to plug into the motorcycle's removable main bulb socket from the original tail light. I had a hell of a time getting that removable socket to fit into the twist-lock mount of the replacement tail light unit, as they were configured slightly differently, but I eventually got it done. I'll never understand how the turn-signal wire connections worked, as shown in the last few moments of this video at 8:47, but work they did, and now I have a sleek and fully operational integrated brake and turn signal tail light system. To be clear: For each turn signal (it's a good idea to label them before disconnecting them), I soldered the hot (green) wire from the bike, the yellow turn signal wire from the new tail light, and one of the leads from the ceramic resistor together in one connection. I then soldered the other end of the ceramic resistor to the ground wire (blk & yel) from the bike's connector, plus an additional ground wire, the other end of which I connected to the nearby ground wire terminal (on the frame of the bike). Again, I did this twice - once for each turn signal (left and right). Hope this helps anyone else who goes to try this.

***** Ah! That explains it. Okay, no harm no foul. Thanks for the video. Without it, I would never have been able to make the right connections at all.

any reason why you decided to solder the wires? :50-1:15
