    Sergio came up the hard way! He turned pro at 23 yrs and with no famous promotion company and to big names helping him. You see Khan, Broner, and Canelo being hyped up! and you have De La Hoya and others hyping their name, well Sergio didn't have that luxury and for him to start boxing late and turn out to be the best Middleweight in the world? and to be the REAL WBC champion? that's what i call a REAL ATHLETE with real skills! Heart! and perseverance! and daily motivation!...this is a real MAN!

    We need a movie about this man!! If you understand spanish, please look for a very detailed interview here in you tube: ''MARAVILLA MARTINEZ - ANIMALES SUELTOS''.. there, he tells about everything in his life..how poor he was in Argentina and Spain..at the point he had to ask for food in charity.. or to work in five different jobs at the same time to be able to pay only the rent..how he got robbed when he fought Margarito..and a lot more. It's really a very sad, tearful and emotive life story..

      Tell em about it. He went to work in Spain as a gym instructor and waiter I believe and yes was living on empty. Imagine that? Just to become a champion. Our champion who never ducked anyone, never holds in his fights even when in trouble and is a nice guy when the boxing is not taking place. That is a real inspirational story.
      You will never be able to say this about Golovkin or Pirog.

    • @papagrande7448

      Not if you put in crazy amounts of work. Quitting can't be an option for you. You haven't had the long experience but you can overcome that with dedication. I'll leave you with this.
      Sergio Martinez didn't start boxing til he was 20, World Champion.
      Tevin Farmer didn't start until he was 19 now 24 and one of the slickest fighters currently.
      Jon Jones started his mma career at 19 became the youngest world champion at 21.
      Mark Hunt started during his mid 20's and started fighting when he was 25. Also beating seemingly unbeatable Wanderlei silva early in his career.
      Simon Marcus had only been training 7 years before he became a champion.
      Canelo didn't start until he was 13.
      Bernard didn't start late, but he was a fucking fossil and still kicking ass.
      Henry Cejudo skipped college and went straight to the Olympics to win gold. Etc etc.
      All these are fine examples, but really it's what you're capable of. And if you have that Supreme belief in yourself, willingness to learn, and willing to put in endless amounts of work you can always be something. Any L you take can't be viewed as a loss. You either win or learn and adapt. I hope you find success sir.

    If you want a preview of martinez vs cotto. Watch pacquiao vs cotto. This is sergio's biggest fight. Don't let his age fool you. I love cotto but I have huge doubts about middleweight. I hated how cotto took this dangerous fight. Shouldve went for canelo, not someone who might retire him.

    I am convinced Sergio is the best fighter right now and Fraudweather knows it. Fraud is willing to fight Cotto at 154 but wants Sergio weight drained at 150, yet he criticizes Pacman for beating a 147 drained Cotto. You can't blame him, I wouldn't want to be knocked out either haha!

  • @sebblunt
    @sebblunt 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mayweather vs Martinez at 154 pounds would be a great fight. Mayweather should go to 154 he did it against De La Hoya and not make Martinez drop to 150, although Martinez said he would do that in previous interviews, i doubt you would see the same Sergio Martinez and the fight wouldn't be as compelling.

  • @bhym1
    @bhym1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm not doubting Canelo's potential, but at this moment in time, Sergio would annihilate him with his speed, power and awkward style. Canelo hasn't fought a proven opponent and is about to fight an old Mosely. Canelo isn't on Martinez's level.

  • @bhym1
    @bhym1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Canelo would get beaten to the punch all night and then knocked out late maybe round 11 or 12. Martinez is #3 p4p.

    Martinez deserves to be P4P #2. Mayweather deserves to be #1 but Pacquiao is #3 because he is on borrowed time. When Pacquiao retires Andre Ward should be #3 in the rankings because he is the next big thing in Boxing after Mayweather. Sergio also deserves a massive payday ! Anybody know how much money he will receive for the Chavez Jr fight ?

    gayweather will never fight martinez because martinez has to good of a chance of beating him and sergio martinez would be a really hard fight for floyd because he's bigger and stronger then floyd is and he's a southpaw and mayweather doesn't fight good against southpaws that's why he won't fight pacquiao too but he'd rather fight martinez then pacquiao because martinez doesn't throw as many punches as pacquiao does mayweather would get out worked by pacquiao

    Siempre resaltan las cosas de los boxeadores mejicanos y a Chavez Jr. lo alaban como si fuese una LEYENDA DEL BOXEO. Ojala que también lo transmita TyC así no tengo que escucharlos a esos INFUMABLES!!!!! jajaja

    if pacquiao is so easy to beat and he's a 1 demensional brawler that fights at catchweights then why is gayweather so scared of him? gayweather can't defend against left hands look how many jabs a slow cotto hit him with lol pacquiao is way faster then cotto and mayweathers shoulder roll defense doesn't work against defending against left hand punches so if he fought pacquiao who is a southpaw his shoulder roll wouldn't work again pacquiaos left hands lol you need to get your facts straight
