@@TailosiveEV hey Drew! I mean specs we know all about, but how about pineapple? No one is asking about the pineapple! I was going to do a TELO there intro for you and chickened out last minute. Sorry

Looking forward to my Aptera in my driveway here in Ontario Canada. Hope they sell a winter version of the front wheel skirts, current ones will act like snow plows. Note from my solar panel output this winter expect some ware between 0 to 5miles of solar for 4 months a year. OK with that. Also hope the redesigns stop soon, so that Aptera can head for production. Hopefully might see mine by 27/28
@@ciscorodriguez-quijano840 I did! Haha. I brought it on day 2 And got most signatures 😀 but on day three and four a lot of other engineers came that I missed. 😢
@ NIce! I hit a lot of them during the afterparty. Just missed Steve F because he had to leave early. Seemed like I was the only one carrying my die-cast model around 😅
I would love to get one, I'm just worried about rust/salt/snow getting inside the hub motors and destroying them in 2 years or so. I live in Buffalo NY, I'll gladly take one to test for a few years.
@@ripcdburnme yeah salt does ruin everything on a car. But I'm sure everyone who lives in the snow is already used to power washing out their wheel wells. At least the body won't rust😅
Most people in Buffalo have the delta sonic (car wash) unlimited monthly plan. My winter car does as well. Some people oil spray the bottom of their cars, some people just let em rot and get a new one every ten years. Electric motors are a different beast though.
@ripcdburnme thankfully the electric motor center mounted now away from the wheels. Those are some neat solutions! I like how most of the bottom is sealed shut rather than a traditional car that is open to the wires and exhaust and everything else
The early ones are central motors, no IEMs. Once they get the volume to afford custom Elaphe IEMs, we've seen lots of testing from Elaphe - encasing the motors in salt and ice, and even submerging them in saltwater, and they've held up well over aggressive weathering. I think it should be fine.
