August 2020: Just bought one - still in descent shape but not perfect. It was spray painted over but used to be pink like this. Great way to learn simple 2-stroke maintenance. :)
vxr was a beast during its time, we have one at the lake and shes super reliable ... same hot pink :) Ours is very low use so hoping she outlasts all of the seadoos
I just bought a 89 and 90 and been making them sing with a new cdi, ($10 on amazon) plug tips, and new plugs rebuilt carbs and some tuning man these are a blast
My father in law had one, helped him fire it up a couple of year's back. I was the first to test it out. Loved it! Only thing is, is I feel like it tips way too easy.
I got the one mine looks like older but it’s the same year same engine mines an LX 650 I think yours is more common but freaking I ride in orange county freaking nice ride it’s fun great for the price is great for the year and just overall son I’d rather have an older ski any day more vintage you know what I mean

I had one just like it back in the 90's. I even took it out into the ocean (Florida) and jumped waves with it. Those 650's are bulletproof.

Sweet mate!! Most TH-camrs would cut the part when you fell off! Peace from the UK

I bought one some months ago, I love this jetski.
I have two 91' models. I broke one couple months ago but taking the other one out tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I just got one for $50.. looking for the service manual.. I think it needs a CDI
Good beginner ski, not very fast, easy to maintain, and easy to ride. They’re kinda small and tippy though only downside
I like that they are small and tippy, more fun!
