I'm seriously concerned about the fact that people seem to have this idea that my son was promised to my BIL and I have somehow "stolen" him. I am making it clear that not now or ever did we promise our son to him. I'm not sure where or when these rumors started but I'm putting an end to it now. I do not understand why this went on for as long as it did. I believe that the wife led them to believe that Op would be fine with giving one of the twins away during her pregnancy, that’s why they kept “offering” to cover expenses. Op should have taken his kids and left his wife, because she is a major nutcase, and the rest of the family is no better. This is why I stopped caving in when my ex husband used to try to convince me to allow his raggedy mother to pay for things for our babies, just because she offered to do so, because there were ALWAYS strings attached, just like in this story. And, it only gets worse…
Clearly with all the gifts they were getting was a red flag before the pregnancy. After hearing about having twins. This was a chance to grab one baby to adopt. Table turns when an arrest record was founded out. Good that you found out before you signed your rights away. Good that ex BIL got some help and his partner went to jail. That you got full custody of your kids. Your ex was safer with you than their mom.

Not sure why OP didn't want his wifes mom in the delivery room. That should of been up to the wife, I can see not wanting her brother in there though. If Bruno wanted a child they could of came to an agreement (maybe) of the wife being a surrogate and giving birth to Ian's child via ivf. Not sure if hubby would of been okay with that but trying to get one of the twins after the birth and depending what culture going for the male child is just wrong.
