It goes both ways. Sugar flowers are creative and edible, lasts longer. Fresh flowers, authentic. But, don't last long. Either ways, its her wedding day, she gets the final call.

He uses a chocolate moldaple paste so is chocolate not fondant but it has its texture

I don’t know this girl and I cried. Nice cake by the way. Buddy always pulls through, he’s amazing. I live in Toronto but if I ever visit New York I am going to Carlos bakery. Let it happen God. If I get diabetes it’s going to be because of Carlos bakery. Hopefully not though. It’s in my bucket list, yup I got myself a bucket list.

Why do all his employees reactions to cakes he makes for their weddings look so fake. There was another lady that works with him that he make a cake for and her expressions were dead as well like barely smiling or looking happy about the results
Idk I feel like the cake doesn’t look that good so maybe she is secretly not that excited? Like there is no decortation on the layers, it’s super super basic for a wedding cake. Also that gold drip looks so fake like it was done with a photo editing program rather than an artisnal baker.
I actually dont think hes all that great at decorating cakes.

@@kate4641 the stems of the flowers get covered with a sort of ribbon you can't put them directly into the cake. None of the flowers they used were poisonous but dahlia stems are quite bitter.

The cake reminded me of my cousin’s wedding cake(the look of the cake), the flowers we’re supposed to be fondant and sugar flowers but an accident happened when it was on the way to the venue of the reception leaving the top part with one side crushed, instead of being pissed, my cousin suggested covering the damaged parts with flowers, as a result it looked like rapunzel’s tower draped in flower, we can’t even tell which is real

i'm sorry the bakery guys did really good but like her taste in design is not it sheeesh
The gold accents only on the stems and leaves of the white brushed floral designs looks really tacky and made the cake seem unfinished. You could tell Buddy knew it too... It would have looked more cohesive if they just painted the entire brushed floral design with the gold accents. Really tho they should have kept the brushed floral designs in white and did maybe small gold filigree borders on those layers to tie it together. Or possibly have the gold finely speckled over the entire layer then add the brushed floral over it. Or maybe even some gold foil could have been cool. I dunno my point is anything would have looked better. The flowers really saved it from being a total fail.
I like how they make it seem they make the cake immediately after the person orders it. I think most people are ordering their wedding cakes months before the wedding.

That random gold detailing makes its look incomplete from afar.... either make it entirely white for the brushed embroidered flowers or have some flowers gold and some white.
