I bought an "LNIB" Liong Mah CUF 3.5 off Bladebinge a few weeks ago. When I opened the box, there were snails and dings all over it, scratches on both pivots and scratches on the blade. Then the seller tried to claim I had done all the damage. There are pieces of shit out there and there's really nothing you can do about that. It was so obvious to the owner of Bladebinge that I was sold a jacked-up knife, he refunded my money and told me to keep it.
Protech is still making brand new knives in 154CM, heck they were using CPMD2 as well recently too. 🤠👍 I have a PT+ but it sure is on the small side. I would like a new SnG full size as well. That is an older button style.
Have a black one not the dark angel had it a long time still carry it from time to time 154 cm blade love it easy sharpen holds edge plenty long enough for me I touch it up time to time on diamond stone an strope
Man… that knife is user condition… which if fine, as long as the price they’re asking reflects that. It sounds like you were charged BNIB price for a user. On the bright side… you’re probably correct when you say “non-knife people” probably don’t know any better. All that being said… it is a really cool knife. They’re always available for sale on Arizona Custom Knives… but the prices some people are asking are ridiculous… I’ve seen them as high as $500 even noting “Slight marks on the blade or scuffs on the handle/clip… otherwise great condition.”
Got it for 225 if I remember right. Not terrible, but had I knows the real condition I wouldnt go over 200. It is a cool piece though and glad I have no hesitation to carry and use it now
I think the last time I saw that Operator model for sale on DLT Trading it was $300 or maybe $340. I’ve seen them sell the regular Strider/ProTech SNG Auto’s for around $250-$290 depending on the scales. The Operator SNG is definitely a cool piece. On a side note… I’m pretty sure the tritium lum in the button is going to last you much longer than 8 years. I actually have a Luminox Navy Seal watch that I received as a birthday gift close to 15 years ago… and the tritium lum on the hands and hour markers STILL shines as bright as the day I opened the box back in 2011. It’s pretty amazing stuff.
@@edged_mindset It's what they currently look like now They only did one or two batches I believe with the epoxy flat button was much harder to produce!!! I had one of the very first new styles/current styles Nice SNG. They run 350 new 👊🏻
Yea I hate that! I bought a Socom Elite tactical version (all black) LNIB and when I received it had clearly been carried for awhile and was even missing a screw. That's not LNIB!!
Those Dark Angel's looked so cool! I never got one cause I was afraid the blade would shatter if I dropped it or maybe just used it on a cold day idk lol. Has to be a reason they don't make it anymore right?
I have a black pro tech sng it has strider logo on show side blade and protech on back it’s number 566 so low serial number not really want sell but what ya got trade
I have only held on to one in hand and I liked it. It wasent frail in any way at all. I just didnt have cash on hand to pick it up at the time. I was out of knife collecting at the time they were at retailers so I missed the bus. Personally, I think its better than the MT Halo in some ways, but not as good as the Heretic Hydra. I own a few Halos and a couple Hydras and I want to add a Dark Angel to my collection. It would just go in my display case.
Man that sh!t pisses me off, I bought a knife lnib a few months ago and I had the same bs issues. Gotta be careful because people just aren’t honest anymore
The ergo criticism on folding knives is non-sense. 99.8% of people using folding knives aren’t using them for long enough periods for it to be a factor. If they are, they’re using the wrong tool.
Advertising a throughly carried piece as BNIB is unacceptable regardless of the sellers knowledge base. He overcharged and that’s definitely something worth being perturbed over😤
Been waiting for a bigger version in od green with stone wash blade , great video as usual brother 🤙🏽
Thank you sir

That's part of the reason I like to film my unboxings. Evidence
My experience with Eric at Blade Binge has been outstanding
I can't wait for protech to start reproducing this one again
Yep me too. XXL hands and the PT is simply too small
It's so small tho that it's just pointless
I’ve been wanting Protech to drop some operator SNG’s again SO BAD
Pro-Tech needs to reintroduce this in MagnaCut 🤞
Facts
Are you gonna send it in for the blade play?
Havnt really thought about it

Word in the street is the ProTech/Strider contract is going to end soon. They might be going away forever

Yea I need one of those....I honestly only ever thought the made the PT....
Nope, it's just been a while since they didnthe SnG
Yet I have to say I can't beat mine to death, wish u could see what it looks like by now 😅
Just like my SMF has the old rock lock issue.
I bet you can fix that
Without knowing how much he paid it's hard to judge if he was ripped off. Definitely was like new but it's in good condition I'd say
I definitly wasn't ripped off, I paid 225. Which is a little high for me and the condition.

That's a very early SNG Operator... Before they changed to the newer tritium button style That knife is 350 new 👊🏻
What does the new style look like?

@@edged_mindsetKnifeworks has the current correct picture blade HQ has the OG button It's an old stock picture from the first run
Understandable

Damn. You got it worse than me
If anyone has a Dark Angel in any condition they want to come off of, I have plenty of cash for it.

@ I already have a Protech SMG, but thanks anyways.. The one I have is burgandy.

Can’t trust people anymore
That's big time BS. How can someone send em out like that
