I have seen many "impossible-love-wanna-be-together-but-cant" situations in my time on TV (my first one was Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd in Moonlighting back in the 80s so I have seen my share). What Chen is doing is what she is getting herself into and Tim was heads over heels for her and he doesn’t want same thing happen again
It’s called open communication, they have always been open with each other about her, at some point he needs to face his pain head on, i think he does that this season, Eric said that this season is going to be hard on Tim emotionally
It's because they are not really talking about Isabel like she'll come back or something. They are discussing about their feelings once Lucy will have deep UC and how they are both going to face it knowing Tim's bad experience about it (Isabel).

@@centillion7 She also convinced Tim (which was not difficult since his mind was already there) into hooking up, implying it’s not “them” that would be hooking up it’s Sava and Jake. It would be OK because technically they’re still under cover. Also, after all that, Tim witnesses Lucy, lying and gaslighting Chris like it was nothing. Also, I’m glad Ashley dumped Tim. It was shitty that he was going to cheat on her. She honestly saved herself heartache more so than she realized.

Hoffen wir, dass am Ende der Staffel ihre eigene Hochzeit stattfindet. Es wird allerdings bestimmt noch einige Zwischenfälle geben, sonst wäre es langweilig. Leider muss ich noch bis Mai warten, bis die Staffel in Deutschland startet. Zum Glück habe ich TH-cam um schon einiges zu erfahren.

@@m2s599 I blame this partially on Nathan Fillion who will not shut up up about taking credit for the show's success so how much do you want to bet he has made sure Nolan and Bailey are the normal no problems couple and everyone else gets drama or in Harper's case nothing to do at all.
