- Happy 2022!! :) Yall I am so in love with this style! I've been doing my hair like this for months and I have yet to get tired of it haha. This video shows how I get the layered look I started doing towards October 2021. Before that, I parted my hair the exact same and just used 5 packs of the 18" all over. (The thumbnail shows both looks. The layered version is on the left & the 18" is on the right)

I was just looking at faux goddess locs on amazon, when I came across your photo in one of the ads. I searched here for a how-to video and you were the first to pop up. This solidified my next style. Also, I'm going to try your method as this would is be my first time going the style.
I’m about to get these locs installed for the 3rd time! I am obsessed! They are just amazing! The style is so versatile! I buy mine from xtrend and I first got 24” that was beautiful! This last time I did all 18” and got a sew in installed and I am so miserable ha ha! So I just ordered 18” and “14”! I can’t wait!

GIIIIIRL I love this!!!! I have 3C hair so typically wash and go, but have been wanting to try something new that I can also wrap with yarn and charms. Thank you so much for this hair style! I was able to install 5 packs. I used the east cornrows method and did a horizontal braid pattern for the back 2 rows. I absolutely 💯 love the hair it is so soft. Hope it will last me a few weeks before take down. This is going to be my go to quick style 😎

@@serenabrown7012 Sorry I misspelled "easy"! The front half of hair I braided single braids and then braided those back. Search up easy cornrows and you can find methods. Good luck!👍🏾

Loll, they're called Dave East braids made "famous" by the American rapper David Lawrence Brewster, aka Dave East. 🤣 They're just side cornrows. Lol. You learn something new every day. 😍

I LOVE your hair & your natural roots. I want to try this method on my locs. I am a professional mermaid & when I dive, so much lint gets caught in my locs & my ends get tangled (I keep my locs loose at the ends). I spent 2 hours trying to braid my hair then hide it in the loc. The crochet needle method wasn't working and kept slipping which exposed my hair. I also couldn't get the lock to stay in. This is such a helpful video. I'm going to try again. Thank you!
