I also have a minor scoliosis, and I get so much back pain from sitting for long periods of time, so I would guess that your back pain also comes from the scoliosis. I also can not be upstanding for long periods either. I have found that it's best to sit on a chair or a soft bench who supports the back. And also to take breaks and just walk around once every hour. I would also recommend to not walk around much with a heavy backpack or purse and to focus on strengthening your back when working out. I know how much it can hurt sometimes, hope this can be a little help
