I’d vote for the Fire Reds. I think the red around the collar and the red jump man gives them more pop.
I choose the "Cardinals" over the "Fire Reds", YES I'M AN OG, 54yrs old AND IN THE GAME SINCE '92, but that doesn't always mean OG's are better in colorways all the time, IMO!!!... so with ME, nostalgia doesn't ALWAYS win, just sometimes!

OG doesn’t make a shoe look better but it does give it something special. If MJ wore it & you loved bball back back in the day & watching him play, well then the OGs hit differently
The details on the fire reds are one of a kind. The grey sock lining and the red heel collar area stacked together hits crazy with the accents of the shoes.

Great way to transition into the new year. 💯 This will be a great series! I would suggest that you find a location near a sneaker store, mall, or boutique to gain the opinion of more people who are into sneakers. Many of those people who voted probably don't own 1 pair of J's.

Fire 🔥 Red all day, Nike Air over the Jumpman logo all day. Everyone keep saying “It’s the color, I like the color on that.” No one mentioned the biggest difference is the Nike Air & the Jumpman logo in the back.
Crazy! Today I laid out all of my 3's and besides the UNC 3's, the Cardinal's are my favorite. The Cardinals are my fav because they have that slim appearance. I don't like 3's that are too bulky aka Black Cements, and the Free Throw Lines.
Before seeing the OG’d in hand, I thought I preferred the Cards, but once i had both, definitely fire reds, and to my surprise i now like my fire red 3’s over 4’s 🤯 and the 4’s were one of my top 3 all time favorites! Them 3’s are fire, can’t believe they’re so slept on
Fire Red 3’s hands down. I got both. But OG’s over everything no matter what. Cardinals are cute. Lol. Fire Red 3’s are Nostalgia. Keep making movies!

This was Dope. I have the Fire Reds but like the Elephant print on the Cardinals better. Didn't need them both so I stuck with the Fire Reds.

For me the fire red 3 beats out the cardinal 3. Don't get me wrong... I like the cardinal 3. The glossy red paint job was 🔥 on them & the yellow hits were nice... But the fire red 3 had nostalgia behind it plus it looked really well executed.

I love 3s period and both of these are clean. But, I have a pair of the fire red denim from 2020 still in the box. Of course it’s not exact to the fire red but from the front, it’s a similar shoe to me. So I went with the Cardinals, since the yellow hints give it an entirely different flavor.
I would go with the Fire Reds also. But Cardinals are ok. I would wear them.
The Fire Red 3's bring that classic Nike logo, that's why I like them more.
Another good comparison would be Chicago 2s v Lucky Green 2s. I think a lot of non-sneakerheads would go green 🍀
I would never hate on your opinion. If you feel the Cardinal, the hell yeah. I prefer the Fire Red 3 cuz those were the very first Jordan I ever got. Plus, the Nike Air on the back. I also have an issue with the cement on the eyelits of the Cardinal. Much love, Jay!!!

The quality on the Cardinal 3s is better IMO the tumbled leather is so nice and the elephant print on the eyelet so good. But OG definitely get the W cus of the Nike Air on the back.
I would definitely pick the fire red if i had to pick but that's mostly for the nike air heel.

The Fire Red > Cardinals. Mixing two complimentary colours “yellow and red” on a shoe is never the way to go. The Cardinal is still a dope shoe but the Fire red is an OG colourway. Great video.

Doing my own poll on my social (mostly NON-SNEAKER HEADS) and the Cardinal 3’s winning. Most people can’t separate themselves from nostalgia or the need to fit in. That’s what I hear when I hear “OG over everything” You gonna choose a brick just bc it’s OG 🤦🏾♂️
I doubled up on the OG fire reds bc the look dope and the nostalgia, but I still think my cardinals actually look cooler. The sneaker community is funny.

well your video had me digging through my pairs to find mine. I do see what your thinking with the Cardinal, it is a much prettier shoe, it makes the fire red look like the low end version. Real Talk.. The cardinal is a dope sneaker!!! But the OG is supreme. The difference to me is Nike Air on the backside and the OG toe box shape(closest to ‘88)

Have I both pairs IMHO the cardinals are better quality but the fire reds are hard to beat with them being og as possible, if the cardinals had "nike air" on the back it would be an easy choice that way imo, but as it stands both are valid but the cardinal red is a little harder to match fit wise
