Oh JW, I'm so happy to see Liam without that chain, however it got him sterilized too! The poor fellow has been beaten, bloodied, and operated on. Oh JW thank you so very much for looking after this poor chap..my heart is breaking 💔💔💔 watching him sit there on his own ..he looks so very lonely..more so even than an ousted male..his eyes are haunted with fear..he haa so many wounds..the way he eats is just so gentle ..delicately picking up the nuts one by one..what we have done to him as humans .more than likely stolen from his mother from a young age to be sold..probably strictly dealt with to gain control..i dread to think how they controlled a fully grown male..they pulled his big canine teeth so he has absolutely no way of protecting himself then when ge us fully grown they dump him..bearing in mind this monkey has no idea of the etiquette needed to survive. No knowledge of foraging..of making a bed..to sleep in the trees..and they leave him with a big gold looking cgain after a few weeks going discoloured..he has no idea how to interact with his own species so is getting beaten up daily..every time we see the poor bugger he has more wounds..then we catch him and neuter him..at least they removed the godawful chain. .i was worried he'd choke himself with it..we have left this beautiful creature with nothing..but thanks to JW he has a champion..someone who us looking out for him..oh JW you were so careful he was protected from the bigger bullies by you..you're sp experienced at knowing how to distract the bully boys whilst Liam filled those pouches fit to burst..bless him..and you JW..they obviously cleaned all his wounds up when they neutered him. I think Liam has stolen my heart! He seems so calm and sweet. Although, the poor guy has lost so much.. He lost his freedom while he was a pet, lost his canines and now has lost his ability breed. The only good thing he lost was that stupid chain. Does anyone know an estimate of his age? I am not certain what that purring sound is for, but it is cute. Also his wagging tail is cute, but I don't know it's significance. I kept wanting to scream at him to take handfuls of nuts and eat them so he could get away without having his food stolen! Smart idea JW to throw the nuts under the mesh for the bad guy to delay him! I was happy to see him munching on the corn until it was stolen from him. Poor sweetie! JW if you could guess where do you think Liam was taken from, this park or from somewhere else? I hope he survives but it would be easier if he had some friends or a troop. He needs help with grooming and to learn how to act as a rhesus macaques. When the cold weather comes Liam's going to need other bodies to keep warm specially during the nights. Very likely, Liam was kidnapped from Monkey Hill, and raised somewhere probably far away. The owner dared to send him back on Monkey Hill, because he/she was sure that by dumping him here using a car, Liam's unable to find his way back (human) home. Macaques are said to have excellent navigation ability to find a spot where he's been before by himself.
Poor Liam..he has nothing ..most are taken from him😭 his most valuable canine, he's spayed..all he needs is just peace and acceptance in a troop 🙏🙏at least his wounds are healing🙏🙏
Poor boy can't even defend himself, whoever did this may as well have signed his death warrant, why do humans have to scoop so low, why can't they just leave these animals alone, and stop making them suffer, it was there land before ours, we stole it from them, and this is how we treat them, we don't deserve these fine animals , and they don't deserve man kind , that is anything but kind. As far as monkeys being able to know if they are firing blanks, (I) don't know, but I don't think they can tell. He didn't loose his jewels,so to speak so he will look to be fertile. His body should produce Testosterone. Had he lost the Ole cahonies he would be visibly different and act more mellow and that would be problematic. IMHO

All we know is that he is assumed to have been a pet for some time, as he had his canines yanked. He had bling when he was dumped, and now he has been neutered. Very little is known about him. Maybe he is a hybrid with long tail in his ancestry as I have noticed they sometimes do have a longer tail than the usual.

Whoever gave him the chain was probably who yanked his canines. They were gone before he was dumped. Poor Liam mankind hadn't been very kind to him. The wagging tail may have been learned in "pethood" if there were frie days dogs around.

Maybe the alpha from Fleur's group (Fire Balls) was so jealous, he stole the bling chain when he stole Liam's sweet 🌽. Liam is easy to spot even without his chain. He's very vocal and has an expressive tail wag. I hope he does well. Thanks for the look into his world.
Hey lady. I guess they plan on sterilization for the monkeys so at some point they all be gone? I was wondering what the vibe is in the community. The state of Florida though they were going to rid or capture our local monkeys here in silver springs / Ocala area .. it was shut DOWN by people in the local county. Voters and tax payers put a stop to that, the monkeys still living wild , there are TV reports jax5 local news on the other side of the state some smaller troops have been spotted in a few neighborhoods in south Jax , but in Marion, and lake county, overwhelmingly the people came out in support for them, so the state said ok they stay. I have not keep up with the ones in the Fort Lauderdale area. I hope the local community finds a way to let them stay. Who knows.

HK is such a beautiful place. I wish the Chinese government will continue to keep its beauty and peace ✌️☮️. I've been there in 2015 but missed to get inside Monkey Hill. Been to Lantau island, Victoria Peak and Disney and Macau..Next time I'll make sure I visit monkey Hill and ensure I have lots of peanuts and beans with me😃

It's obvious that Liam was abandoned here. In this video it is also obvious that Liam is being attacked (thankfully not fatally), probably has very little knowledge in wild monkey ways (because he was possibly owned from birth when he got older and not so cute and more work they abandoned him) and is quite obvious that he is scared shitless. Why hasn't he been removed from here and placed in a zoo or sanctuary where he would be safer and cared for? Is there no such facilities for this? Couldn't anybody notice how thankful he was to finally be fed because he's probably starving. His tail would wag like a dog's as he was eating which shows happiness and thankfulness. I prefer he not. Fleur's troop is in danger of extinction. There's only one fertile female in that troop, namely, Liam and the troop do each other no good.
Poor Liam got sterilized. And the stupid owner that had him removed his canines so he can never properly defend himself. He may always be an outcast because of it. Its possible that no troop will take him because he would not be able to truly defend the troop. At least they removed that chain when they did snipped him.

I hope he survives but it would be easier if he had some friends or a troop. He needs help with grooming and to learn how to act as a rhesus macaques. When the cold weather comes Liam's going to need other bodies to keep warm specially during the nights.
I'm so angry at the one who kept him as a pet and pulling his canines out.

Very likely, Liam was kidnapped from Monkey Hill, and raised somewhere probably far away. The owner dared to send him back on Monkey Hill, because he/she was sure that by dumping him here using a car, Liam's unable to find his way back (human) home. Macaques are said to have excellent navigation ability to find a spot where he's been before by himself.
Poor Liam..he has nothing ..most are taken from him😭 his most valuable canine, he's spayed..all he needs is just peace and acceptance in a troop 🙏🙏at least his wounds are healing🙏🙏
Poor boy can't even defend himself, whoever did this may as well have signed his death warrant, why do humans have to scoop so low, why can't they just leave these animals alone, and stop making them suffer, it was there land before ours, we stole it from them, and this is how we treat them, we don't deserve these fine animals , and they don't deserve man kind , that is anything but kind. I hope this male has a long and happy life, but without k-9 teeth I doubt it. He's an easy target that can't fight back , with other animals not just monkeys but dogs, hogs, and Humans.

He is skinnier now.....he needs regular help, at least until he knows what he can and can't forage and eat, as I don't think he really knows yet.
He has lost some weight and looks a bit beat up. But he will get with the program with the politics of their lives. Great video please keep us updated on his progress. I have also feel in love. That other male is very beefy! Wow, he definately has alot of mass, big boy!
Wow, poor Liam... he got dumped by a human that had no right to take him, they took his canines, put that ridiculous chain on him and then dumped him. He's beat up, captured, once again by humans, loses the chain and his manhood, unreal! I am really happy that the chain is now gone, it was a danger to Liam's life! Now, even though he has been fixed, that doesn't mean he can't get busy with the females, but he will be shooting blanks, and he will never be a father! As far as monkeys being able to know if they are firing blanks, (I) don't know, but I don't think they can tell. He didn't loose his jewels,so to speak so he will look to be fertile. His body should produce Testosterone. Had he lost the Ole cahonies he would be visibly different and act more mellow and that would be problematic. IMHO

All we know is that he is assumed to have been a pet for some time, as he had his canines yanked. He had bling when he was dumped, and now he has been neutered. Very little is known about him. Maybe he is a hybrid with long tail in his ancestry as I have noticed they sometimes do have a longer tail than the usual.

Whoever gave him the chain was probably who yanked his canines. They were gone before he was dumped. Poor Liam mankind hadn't been very kind to him. The wagging tail may have been learned in "pethood" if there were frie days dogs around.

Hey lady. I guess they plan on sterilization for the monkeys so at some point they all be gone? I was wondering what the vibe is in the community. The state of Florida though they were going to rid or capture our local monkeys here in silver springs / Ocala area .. it was shut DOWN by people in the local county. Voters and tax payers put a stop to that, the monkeys still living wild , there are TV reports jax5 local news on the other side of the state some smaller troops have been spotted in a few neighborhoods in south Jax , but in Marion, and lake county, overwhelmingly the people came out in support for them, so the state said ok they stay. I have not keep up with the ones in the Fort Lauderdale area. I hope the local community finds a way to let them stay. Who knows.

HK is such a beautiful place. I wish the Chinese government will continue to keep its beauty and peace ✌️☮️. I've been there in 2015 but missed to get inside Monkey Hill. Been to Lantau island, Victoria Peak and Disney and Macau..Next time I'll make sure I visit monkey Hill and ensure I have lots of peanuts and beans with me😃

It's obvious that Liam was abandoned here. In this video it is also obvious that Liam is being attacked (thankfully not fatally), probably has very little knowledge in wild monkey ways (because he was possibly owned from birth when he got older and not so cute and more work they abandoned him) and is quite obvious that he is scared shitless. Why hasn't he been removed from here and placed in a zoo or sanctuary where he would be safer and cared for? Is there no such facilities for this?
Couldn't anybody notice how thankful he was to finally be fed because he's probably starving. His tail would wag like a dog's as he was eating which shows happiness and thankfulness. Please somebody help him!
Unfortunate Liam hasn't found Dopey's Boy Band, or a similar group of young males. Glad the chain is gone, though! He HAS to be submissive, especially to the big males, with no canines to defend himself with and no troop to belong to. Maybe he's trying to get accepted by Fleur's troop? JW, your drone footage is beautiful! Liam reminds me of Dopey, a bit. Wonder if he may be a child of Taggy that was stolen from his mother as a newborn....
I prefer he not. Fleur's troop is in danger of extinction. There's only one fertile female in that troop, namely, Liam and the troop do each other no good.

Poor Liam got sterilized. And the stupid owner that had him removed his canines so he can never properly defend himself. He may always be an outcast because of it. Its possible that no troop will take him because he would not be able to truly defend the troop. At least they removed that chain when they did snipped him.
