I've seen the full clip of the judge calling the girl back, and she was being very rude and disrespectful to him, even going so far as to flip him off as she was walking away one time. it's actually quite funny the way he handles the situation

About the blackmailing girlfriend, it’s harder than it looks to be able to actually just break up with the person. It’s easy to say that you can just break up with them even though they are threatening to kill themselves, but when you’ve been so long in a relationship with them, it does seem very real in the moment, and that’s how they get you. For my ease of mind, I also started to become less agreeable so that he would slowly lose feelings for me, we ended up parting ways in a more peaceful manner.
There are also crazy people out there who *will* follow through with the threat, better to make them leave on their own than to walk out the door then feel like shit when they gets found the next day with slashed wrists in the bathtub

I see what you removed. Regarding the girl with the 10k bond (if that's the term), I think the context was she was acting like an ass before the clip because she knew she was going to pay the original bond as it only like $1k so she thought she was "getting away with it" thus the remark. Basically showed no remorse so the judge was entirely justified in increasing it. I believe he increased it again or at least was going to if she didn't stop. Can't remember the whole context like what she did but the whole situation was funny.
If it is a bond (bail) then it is inappropriate for him to increase it for disrespectful behavior; he should have given her a separate fine for contempt of court. Of course not enough of the clip is here to know for sure that isn't want the $10k is. But bail isn't supposed to be excessive and is supposed to be base don how likely/unlikely you are to fail to appear on your trial date. Nothing about her being a disrespectful cunt is an indicator that she won't appear on her court date. It is, however, contempt of court.
She also flipped the judge off at one point, but a bit later she came back crying and apologized about it all, and he reduced it.
